Yes, suddenly ‘inj’ means ‘in jail’

OUT: De Goey (inj)
OUT: De Goey (Jail)
Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke really.
Meanwhile some a-hole has stolen my cat Omar.....

I think there's some confusion around his contract length. Pretty sure he signed a five year deal, so three more to go. At the beginning of his final contract year he'll be 30.
Every article I have read states he signed a 6 year deal and footywire has him contracted until 2025 also.

So he will be 32 and still on 900k

Probably a bit of negativity mixed in with the mayo on Hills contract talk.
Reported as 900K which like every other time will be maximum value including bonuses like finals and B&F finishes.
Then they've all accepted a 7% pay cut, $63,000 in Brad's case, so $837K at maximum value.
Thus far he's not been worth it, nor has he been worth what we traded for him, but none of that is particularly his fault.
Get a grip folks.

I'm just posting this so everyone I debated with regarding bringing De Goey to St Kilda over the last 2 years can point and laugh at me.
Turns out it wouldn't have been such a genius move, after all.
Who would have known?
Not I.

We need less nice guys ...more bad boys.
Nah.. not that bad.

Does this help the Pies retain Moore and Maynard? de Goey's contract value has just halved over night (minimum).

I'm not one to use dirty language but this de Goey chap seems quite the goose.
The Pies are on a cliff's edge with their list demographic and loosing one of the handful of seniors that are underpinning their rebuild is a bad start.
A couple of injuries to the likes of Pendles or Sidebottom away from a disaster and if you're OOC in 2022 you're not gonna sign jack shit till the end of the year.
If they bomb again next year anyone around Moore's age will be looking around.

There's every chance degoey might not even be on their list.

Well at least the de goey thing didn't happen just after we signed him as a big money free agent next year 😏
I don't think many clubs will be after him now. How many chances can a bloke get and continue to screw up ?
Once an idiot, always an idiot. Jordan may be a good fit for Port Melbourne now. They'll help him get a job post-footy
as a wharfie, where he can get into more trouble....

Well life has taken a very dramatic turn for Jordan now. I’m guessing a New York lawyer will set him back a pretty penny. I hope his management has been smart enough to squirrel away a little bit of money. Otherwise he is set to find out that going from riches to rags can be a very quick transition.
