Almost tempted to say Battle is worth more than that maybe if we could grab their earlier pick instead?

Doubt other clubs view it that way considering we shafted him this year. On his own he’s probably worth a late second, early third.

With Essendon receiving a much tougher fixture next season and best players not being able to much better than they did this year, I would not be shocked if they fell down the ladder significantly. Add in their massively inflated opinion of themselves, there may be an opportunity to trade Future 1sts and gain some points this year.

Feel like they could fall as low as bottom 5-6. We could bounce as high as top 5-6. They probably think the reverse is much more likely, creating some room for exploitation.

Would be awesome to play finals, hold their Essendon's #6 and send it on over to GCS along with our 2nd for big fella. Nice little **** you after some unfavourable outcomes with those pricks.

That's fair enough but would you trade him for that? I'd rather him as a depth player rather than a late pick.

I would personally, we have plenty of forwards and defenders that can do his role in Sharman, Membrey, Allison, Highmore, Coffield and Wilkie. Even Higgins can play his role. And we’ve seen he’s not gonna be a good wingman like they’ve tried.

It would be good to have another pick inside the top 20 when it’s said the kids from 10 to 35 are all pretty much on par with each other.

Anything else in the pipeline?

Xerri from North has nominated us.
People think it’s possible we could get Taranto as GWS need salary cap room to get Lobb back.
The thread has set up a charity boxing tournament between all the champs and bosses.

Do you reckon Brisbane would accept Battle and a future second for Picks 18 and 60?

I miss knowing what its like to have a pick in the second round, how about we make it a future 3rd.

Oh with Taranto, who said back in March/April to watch this space......

and if it doesn't happen I won't be mentioning it again....

All means nought unless we actually get him….
Then we’ll all genuflect at your greatness!

Having said that, your Heeney rumour was a bust…can go any club indeed
😉🤣

How did we not ask the question on this

Will Brodie is from Vic.
This would also free us up for our academy kids plus overs.

This is now a done deal. Gold Coast has traded pick 19, 61, 69 and Will Brodie to Fremantle for the Dockers' future second and fourth round picks.

They were/would NEVER give us that sort of opportunity considering this time next year we will trying to bend them over getting King.
