Dream on I say.

He's probably worth that if there was a side that needed one last piece but they don't usually have a top 10 pick. Port need someone to take over from Boak maybe. Someone was saying inside mids are out of style at the moment and no-one wants them which won't help Jeff's deal.

Hey guys feel free to shout me out of here but I've just come over to read up a bit on what you guys think of Battle and what he'd potentially be worth. From our perspective our recruiting crew have said a couple times they're keen to take both our firsts to the draft this year however with Ashcroft coming our future first could be up for grabs. Personally I really like what Battle could bring but think we'd need something back to give up a first for him, also as others have mentioned we're pretty tight for salary cap and list spots so I'm not even sure if a deal is possible. Cheers.

I really rate Battle, but he will find it hard to get a game at St Kilda, so if we could get a hand on a first rounder i'd take it. Maybe something like a late first round pick for him with a swap of second round picks?

Seconded. I feel for Battle. He was very good down back and then we brought in Wilkie and Highmore. If he's given a season in 1 position I think he'll go really well.

Something around pick 25 has what peeps here think would be right. Your 1st with our 3rd back gets you there.
That's acknowledging it's slightly overs because he's contracted. I don't think he's on cap busting dollars either.

Maybe richmond, no way pick 7 but 15 is about right for Tom Mitchell Imo.

Yeah I agree that we might want a bit more back on a trade like that, I'm also a bit higher on him than most oppo fans would be I imagine. I'd love him as a replacement for Birchall across half-back for us

Or even just keep our ear to the ground 🤔

Let Gags keep his nose to the grindstone

Yes, all that smoke and mirrors behind the shadows can get a bit confusing…🤣

Battle is in a tight spot with us he‘s not first choice as a back or a forward and can’t play on a wing.

I keep hearing how he was good down back, but is that true. I remember a game where one of the commentators was picking his game apart playing chb his opponent was killing him. If Sharman hadn’t grabbed his chance maybe there was a spot in the forward line but it’s Sharman’s to loose now you’d think.

I‘d want out if a suitable offer came along and long is in the same boat if not worse, not worth moving them from our side though without decent picks.

Mike Sheehan wrote it only every other week. Mind you, he wrote Harves down because he wasn't at a 'big club'.

Same reason why it's;

Voss
Hird
Buckley
... oh, and Harvs I suppose.

When it came to the media darlings of that era. Out of those though, I always lold at Buckleys inclusion, just because he cracked the sads that he got drafted by the Bears first and spat the dummy immediately if anyone was going ot be left as the 4th wheel of the convo, should have been him.

2022 should see him make or break it. Unfortunately someone in the backline is going to have to get injured so he gets a game.

Surely Brisbane's future first, our first rounder in 2022, and possibly some change will be enough to afford Bing next year

How nice would it be if we don't have to put ourselves in debt to get him? If you're worried about us having to give up too much for him, that would help your anxieties a bit

Mitchell is an A grade mid - or at least close to it. His back half of the season was as good as any mid in the comp.

Racks up possessions like few others and was the main reason Hawthorn finished the season so well.
Spot on and looking at his stats, i got a surprise with his disposal efficiency and effectiveness and of course his ave 35 possies a game. Compares well with Jack Steele and quite a few others.

might be worth it if we cover the 1st year salary.
