What's the problem with comparing them? It's not like it's a tiny sample… we're talking 8 seasons for Lobb.

Lobb is about to turn 29… averaged 1.5 goals this year.

McKernan is 31 averaged 1.6 goals in 2018

Lobb may be the better player, but the stats don't lie after 100 games… they're both average, just 500k apart in salary.

I bagged him one time when he was playing for GWS and had a particularly shit game that cost them and one of his relatives jumped on and told me to pull my head in. You might be inviting trouble.

Soz, 'golden age' had me hate chubbin'
to GWS with you pal.
:D
I think Lobb has been trying to put himself forward as someone who (looks wise) is based on Bowie circa "Golden Years (Age)" but it hasn't worked out and hasn't translated to his football output so back to GWS with you pal. Bowie on the coke late 70's in L.A. was never going to be a thing in AFL 2021. Embarrassing is what it is. (Insightful I know......)

I think our calmness at the trade table suggests we have a plan and we’re sticking to it.

We are not looking for anything new. We are looking for the same role players we were looking for in recent years.

Sharman was selected to fill a McKernan sized hole who himself was a Marsh replacement. Highmore means the Long experiment can be shit canned and Ben can go back to tying down a spot as a pressure forward (bye bye Lonie). We still need a key defender, after the Frawley flop and have done since Nate Brown departed. And we would like to upgrade PHunter if the opportunity presents who was brought in to replace Abbott.

I’m choosing to believe that we have already identified talent to fill those spots. Xerri will get done and PHunter will fall off the list. Is Talia still available? He fits the mould of the type we have tried to bring in recently.

No way we are trading pick 36

Rory Lobb, played 100 odd games in 8 years, averages less than a goal/game, 11 disposals and 11 hitouts.

Has to be the most overpaid sh*t-truck in the comp, I would be walking him back to GWS if I were freo.

700K WTAF
My thoughts exactly

If xerri is worth a 2nd rounder then imagine what we'll get for Ben Long. Pick 1 here we come!!!!

Hunter caused a bit of it himself when he came out preseason & said that he wasn't here to be a back up & that he had his eye on the #1 spot.
Should he have come out and said , i know im shit but who cares they are are paying me so i thought why not

Bro, with all due respect, can we give Billy a spell.

He left the club five years ago. Wasn't good enough to make it but played more games at the highest level than you and I combined

Still on Fortnite Billy?

It's just a bit of fun, he had some talent but wasn't a massive fan of the lifestyle from what I could tell, I wouldn't be either. He's obviously made an impact on us all which is also more than most past players do.

Pfft.
Remember when we were given good friday?

Victim mentality
Carlton have stunk up the stand alone marquee opening game of the season for over a decade.
Some of the performances have been laughable. But they've still got it.
We stuffed up one day, once, and were dropped forever.

Not more than me as I am actually Damian Kitschke

Agree. We got 1 away game on Good Friday and that's us done.
Small market clubs have to earn it unfortunately. AFL is business, and relies heavily on revenue from the TV networks. They’re not going to stick by us unless it’s financially worth their while
