  • trade back in with a future second and take barnett

  • trade back in with a future second for someone else

  • only take MM and keep the other spot for PSD/rookie

This is just a heads up for anyone missing live football. The Tjindu Foundation Next Generation carnival is being played this week end at Thebarton.

U17 I think. It’s a showcase of the best indigenous talent in SA at the age level. I think I’ve done the internet properly up top of this which has the fixture.

Enjoy if you get the chance - will be some good footy and good young talent

Seemingly not, as rookie list upgrades/downgrades occur after the main draft. It would force us to downgrade someone to the rookie list.

I wouldn't expect us to trade back into this draft tbh, not unless something exceptional happens.
Agreed, I'm not expecting much fireworks in the National draft.

PSD and Rookie drafts may be interesting though. I'm fairly curious to see who's still around when we select.

Big Bundy Rendell

”Most have him between 10 and 20 ”. on Max Michalaney
If he goes closer to 10 than 20 the club will be in quite a dilemna.

Honestly any recruiter that has him in that range they're doing a hell of a lot of projection into the future.

Personally I can't see it.

that sounds like what id heard with gws bidding at 16.

Not sure clubs will feel the need to bid that early now that we have later picks to match and it’s a no brainer to take as we don’t have an early pick to get absorbed

Lots of chat that clubs have him late 1st into 2nd round so 16-25 wouldn’t surprise if he was in open draft

Then they're crazy, let alone the fact he's an interstate kid. Josh Weddle is a similar player clearly out performed Michalanney at the Nationals likely to be available at around that mark.

the most worrying thing is we currently dont have enough points to match at 16 without going into deficit on our first round pick next year. hope this rumour is wrong.

i don't believe we will match at 16.

One transaction isn't the market, especially when it was made by a team that has made some extraordinary errors in trading.

I'm still not sure how you justify the idea that pick 23 in a bad draft is the same valued asset as pick 20 in a good one?

Did you think the same when Gold Coast traded pick 11 for pick 28?

Sometimes one club manages to improve their position through a trade, and I think we did that.
Bingo. Just don’t expect an answer as Sanders is completely and utterly snookered. I have already tried asking him this exact scenario but alas normal modus operandi kicks in ie no response. I just wish people were man enough to admit when they are wrong - we all are at some point - just own it..

I know what you are saying as it looked horrendous at the time, but GC will say that they didn't trade for the pick, they traded to get a specific player - Sharp

Where is Harry Lemmey ranked in mock drafts now?
Looking increasingly as a Rookie or late in the Draft ......falling from a top 10 draftee at the start of the year .....huge fall from grace
