I presume footballers pay tax. According to paycalculator.com.au, after tax on $600k is roughly $326k , and on $300k is about $182k.

Given a choice between not working for $182k net or busting my gut for $326k net I know what I would choose...

Why would he have to bust a gut? He can just roll up and half arse it or just claim soreness and walk laps or hit the physio bench.

C'mon, that's not true.

They're winning an SANFL flag for the 150 people that turn up?

If nothing else, they don't want to win because they don't want the SANFL being vindictive with them in the future. Self interest said they don't want to win.

I think they planned to keep Turner, but they also planned to trade Crouch, Sholl and others. Plans changed as circumstances did

Nah bruv. Look at how much they care about WAFL success, those 150 people still count

Our treatment of turner has been right arseh*le behaviour.

Got a near perfect ATAR score didn’t he? Was studying medical science at one point
Lol, c'mon.

Some of the most socially gullible amongst us "did well in high school".

I don't particularly care, but if ROB believes some of the "white men are victims" stuff that is on his twitter feed, then the fact he did well in year 12 doesn't mean that much.

So what's that? Maybe 60 people who follow the SANFL?

Its an absolute, complete irrelevance.

whooossshhhh

How many people watch or turn up to the women’s game?

The audience is the main membership and supporters. And if you think we weren’t crowing about how the SANFL performance showed the rebuild was on track then you weren’t paying attention at all

Which shows how ludicrous it is to suggest the idea that he was somehow contingent on end of season moves

We promised him a chance and didn’t do that.
This is not your best work.

The entire AFL industry thought that Crouch would be traded. We probably had a few others on the list that we thought SOMEONE would want.

And yet here we are. We now have far less of a need for a mature bodied mid that we thought we would six months ago.

The guy we only signed for six months we now don't need. It's a pity, but it's completely obvious. And fair enough - it's why he's on a short term contract.

No one cares.

If anyone cared, they'd turn up.

Even those that DO watch - like me, frankly - couldn't care less about the results.

It's a development team. The results couldn't matter less. It's nice to see the kids do well, but the results are absolutely irrelevant.

And the LAST thing we're doing is drafting a player to make our RESERVES team more likely to win. It's feel ludicrous to even type it.

If you wanted to argue that we needed mature bodies to help with development, then maybe that's not so crazy. But everything else is just nonsense.
