Vader, can you elucidate the FS matching abilities of our current three picks? I.e., is there any possibility of having to dip into next years picks?Looks like Michelanney will be our only selection in the ND this year - so no need to demote any senior list players to the rookie list.
He looks a very good prospect..So is Max any good? Anyone seen him play? What can we expect?
We hold picks 46, 56, 59, we get a 20% discount on points requiredVader, can you elucidate the FS matching abilities of our current three picks? I.e., is there any possibility of having to dip into next years picks?

Probably needs to pick up a sponsorship from Banana Boat while he’s at it..
Or get a tan.
He's decent, but raw (body wise). He's 2-3 years minimum from AFLSo is Max any good? Anyone seen him play? What can we expect?
Might still get someone in the 50sSo our input this year is essentially Rankine, Michalanney, and a decent extra 2023 draft pick.
not 100% sure..Reid was a bit cryptic hereSo our input this year is essentially Rankine, Michalanney, and a decent extra 2023 draft pick.
I read that and was baffled.not 100% sure..Reid was a bit cryptic here
Crows to nominate father-son prospect
The official AFL website of the Adelaide Crows Football Clubwww.afc.com.au
Adelaide General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said the pick exchange provides the Club with greater flexibility in the next two national drafts.
“We are continually exploring ways to improve our draft hand and overall playing squad, and central to our decision making are the numerous scenarios that can play out in and around the draft,” Reid said.
“This latest swap of picks aligns with our list management strategy and as always, we will be true to our talent order and see how the draft selections fall on the night.”
That you continue to believe the club has some clue is a nice one to watchNot only a stronger draft, but a year where we have a lot of players coming out of contract who won't be continuing in 2024.
"Stacked midfield"''the rebuild is complete''
Those 3 picks will match a bid at 22 or later. We hold picks 46, 56, 59, we get a 20% discount on points required
I don't think you're wrong at all, I actually think you're bang on as I posted earlier. I think there's a player we rate that they think goes late 1st early 2nd round that a future 2nd might entice a club to part with a pick on the night if the player is still on the board. If not it's full steam ahead to 2023 with the pick.Probably completely wrong, but I somehow feel more confident about a trade back into this year's first round now. 2 early seconds for next year is a decent bargaining chip
Interesting times in 2023 offseason.Good trade, good business. Get out of a s**t draft and into a comparable spot in a good one. I genuinely reckon what's around at 23 is like 35 most years.
See ya in 12 months.
I think bid will come around 25.Those 3 picks will match a bid at 22 or later.
If after 29 we get to keep and potentially use 59
If after 41 we get to keep 56 & 59
I'm guessing if we have to match a bid before 22 it will also push out next year's pick 23, roughly 1-for-1.
a first round bid on MM would currently have us go into deficit for our first round next yearWe hold picks 46, 56, 59, we get a 20% discount on points required
If a bid came in around 15-20 (which it won't IMO) I think the club would consider passing on him and just trade the picks out.a first round bid on MM would currently have us go into deficit for our first round next year
thats not happening expect another pick swap to get more points into this year to stop that
Doesn't any deficit come right off our first-round pick? Those 3 picks will match a bid at 22 or later.

Michalanney's not being bid on in the 1st round...a first round bid on MM would currently have us go into deficit for our first round next year

Dont we need the list spots though if we wanted to split say pick 46 for points?a first round bid on MM would currently have us go into deficit for our first round next year
