I’d be really interested in people’s thoughts about why we got beaten in the centre tonight. Was it poor structures? Felt like we were too slow and always second to the ball. I’m still a bit worried about our ruck options and not giving our mids some modest advantage. Thoughts?
no ruck?

Yep, momentum killing, especially the 2nd one. Love that we are winning but really need to start switching on big time and putting in 4/4 efforts.

I know many won’t agree but I think this is a good a year as any to challenge for a flag. It’s extremely hard to get the points and have good luck as well, but I feel we’ve had a lot thrown at us injury wise this year and we’ve been able to weather the storm so far.

No point thinking we aren’t going to win it this year and next year is really our window, when we’ve do so well.

There isn’t anyone we can’t beat there, but Melbourne & Brisbane are a lot more consistent and well drilled than us.

I think we have to dare to dream NOW, and really switch on for the next 5 games.
if we can get another 3 wins in and start refining our game, getting some consistency in effort over 4/4, and stop the lapses, we are a massive chance.
Imagine if we sneaked a premiership in this year!! Would be an unbelievable feeling! I think I'd cry lol

I feel that Voss managed the game to just do enough to win. We never really got into the marauding style it was more a preservation style after cerra went down. On a rainy night with bigger scalps to come it just makes sense. Yet from first bounce to final siren we were in the drivers seat. The coach almost talks finals in the presser and for me that is proof.

Voss ❤️ The spray at the break has been missing at our club for a while. Hate to need it but love to see it when we do need it
They will remember this spray for the rest of the season. No matter what the scoreboard looks like you have to play in the same manner that got you in this position in the first place. The game plan hasn’t been the problem all year. It’s mindset and staying present from start to finish. I’m very glad he did it when we were still 28 points up. Standards have absolutely gone to another level.

I used to hope that Boekhorst had a better career than Laverde . Now I hope Laverde plays 300 games.
Better to quickly realise you have recruited a dud than take 10 years to figure it out..

I'm not too worried about the way we played. It was slippery as anything out there.

Doc, Saad and Hewett excellent.

Out of the lesserlights, some fantastic moments for Young, Cottrell, Newnes.

Martin did a lot of good things. Owies solid. Plowman decent.

Marchy stood up and got through. Very important.
Considering the conditions we were as clean as a baby’s bottom. Very sharp.

Winning is great, beating * is better, beating * while not playing well, priceless.

On the flip side, second half fade-out was back tonight, specifically the last quarter, still lots to work on.

Great to see Marchy get through the game too
Just chill on the second half fade-outs. We keep winning so just be happy. I'm sure a better opposition would/will bring out better need for us to play better for longer. We are good, no we are actually ****ing good. No reason why we can't win it this year!

I don’t disagree

Weitering, Pitto, Williams, McGovern and Williams will be handy additions come finals time!

Weitering and pitto definitely if Marchy stays fit he trumps Gov … Williams for me is well covered and needs to really show something to not think he was a too a high priced “free” recruit
