It certainly is but if was as good as I and many others thought why let him go. He obviously has some issues in his game freo don’t like. I love ex players doing well. Never had a problem with it.

Completely agree our trading was agreed we looked for value in guys who were talented but not getting games ie Skunk , Bryce and Steele. Now we have a bunch of guts in charge who think they need to make trades for the sake of making things happan. Not Happy atm

Considering everyone on here wants to see trades just for the sake of making things happen, it's pretty understandable. Trades give supporters hope.

But we’re not as bad as they make out. We win two more games and we’re in the finals. We’ve got a fairly young list that should improve and we’re committing to the draft while also going after free agents.

We’re making off-field appointments that should make us better too.

Ive got to admit I'm a little baffled about some of the responses here. We get one of the toughest draws in the system. we finish 9th. Walsh is right, we're not respected, but its not because we are finishing last, its because we don't seem to be progressing as a football team past mid tear.

The club has identified an age problem, so they go back to the draft, we have a great draft year last year it seems, now we need top end talent, we have a lot of soldiers, good ones too, be we need an elite player or two, to stand next to King.

I think the club is beginning to realise how hard it is to get these guys from other clubs. Now they are going to the draft in the hope of getting elite talent. Its risky but its cheaper if it works. I think we tried the Trade thing and it took us to mid table. Now we need to trade to get higher picks, not more soldiers.

For mine the only elite players being traded this trade period, are Taranto and Dunkley.The Bowes deal is great, but it could lead to nothing for the Cats. The only side getting better are Richmond and the Lions in my eyes, Collingwood is getting more soldiers, Geelong gets some good young talent. We need a top 5 draft pick.

If he was as good as we thought he was they would have kept him. The rumour is he is only getting 400k. Freo got rid of him by offering a one year deal on bugger all money. You don’t rid of good players for nothing unless there is a problem.

People are considering let's get Bowes 7 and 2.8m over 4 years. For a VFL player essentially but injury hampered upside.

Whitfield 5m over 5 years for a proven afl A grader. Add pick 3 and maybe swap 9 with 11 or ffrdp for GWS 3 and 11. I'd do that.

Hill comes off big money 3 9 and 11 develop next 2 years we can pay them increased salary with Hill money.

Just hope Whitfield is not an injury bust...oh wait...haven't we just been through that.

Moving on HC for a pick also reduces our SC straight away to make the above deal more palatable.

HC and 9 for North pick 2 they get from JHF deal. Values HC at pick 15.

Pick 2 3 and 11 sounds like a pretty fair reset with what we have already from last year.

More opportunity for first team footy
More money

Clark, 9 and 32 for Pick 1 would be a dream for me. Purely on points it values Clark at Pick 20 which is about right tbf, but 9 and 32 obviously not particularly appealing for a club at the bottom
