Sam Glover is 194m. On the emergency list, but there will be two players to come out of this team (sub + carry over) so he'll prob come in.

Two key defenders and a utility third tall type is plenty of height.
Agree, he hasn't exactly killed it as a defender and defenders don't generally transition to become good forwards
Given the 1’s play today I’d think all emergencies would play tomorrow unless we activate the sub wouldn’t they?

I think he's a good behind the ball flanker in the VFL.
Agreed, hope I'm wrong but can't see him making it at AFL level in any position

Really? Why's that? I thought that is what he was recruited for. Mid/Fwd. In defence is he being played as a running defender or interceptor?

Just checking the previous VFL games on the AFL site and they don't put the full replay up, just a 5-mintute highlights package. So if the club dont put it on their site later you'd better watch these vfl matches live to see the whole thing, unless they're on 7 like this one.

More of a midfielder. But played half back for South Adelaide I believe. He played a bit forward.. but can't recall if that was league or if that was U18.
He looked lost up forward this pre-season. Last week he mentioned to me he was playing back now, and I said he did look kinda lost up forward.. and he was like "yeah, hated it."
But with his composure with ball in hand, he'd be suited to half back that can run through the midfield, or vice versa.
Keen to have another look at Arlo. Watched him really closely in the practice game last week and could maybe understand why he slid a bit further in the draft than expected. Looks like a pretty chilled out personality and at first glance a pretty passive sort of player. Match that with seemingly average speed and athleticism you could get the impression he might lack the intensity to make it at the highest level. He then really calmly waltzed through a few contests with ease and it was pretty obvious why he was drafted. Interesting one to watch.
Interesting. He’s one I’m really keen to see as I have a suspicion he might be one that comes on quickly and jumps a few in the line.

So many interesting players to watch…. Johnson Draper macRae Begg McInnes Harrison, I’ve probably missed a few names….plus the more senior youngsters like Kelly Bianco and the maligned Cal Briwn….. exciting stuff and hopefully this VFL list will tell us the future is bright.
