On the contrary, I think this signals we think we cant play with the two big rucks. You cant base your team selection on the off chance one player goes down? That's not realistic.

Or it reinforces that we think the two-ruck set up is our preference for finals and we want to make sure Pitto is cherry ripe.q

If that's the case he would be (rested). As I said in the previous post, you cannot fit a resting ruck in a forwardline that already has Charlie and Harry unless it's Jack. We need that extra small applying the heat. That's our DNA.

I think Harry would ruck more competently than Jack. I'd have Jack back in in a heartbeat but given he's not back in, Pitto has been dropped on balance. Or that's the way I see it anyway. There's no room for a resting ruck in a forwardline that already has Harry and Charlie. Unless it's Jack who is a natural forward. We are best with an extra small like Fog cracking in at the tackling. Means a whole lot more than having two rucks. And Pittonet is pretty much useless in every position bar ruck.
Great post, it just leaves us exposed if TDK gets injured or needs a rest, for that would be happier if Jack or Young were playing as I don’t want Harry taking centre bounces

Guys we are one game away from finals with no further reserves matches to come. It's clear as day if you are fit this week and not picked, and you are not Cripps or Docherty, you are secondary in the minds of the MC.

Ed wasn't even named in the emergencies last night (out) and now he is

Pretty simple really.
Cripps out of the squad and Ed in

I would not draw that conclusion.

The AFL have made it clear to clubs that they do not want them resting excessive numbers of players in the final round when results are no longer relevant. I suspect that savvy clubs would "omit" the odd player, or flag a non-existent injury, to avoid scrutiny.

I am very happy Pitto has been dropped. We have a choice of Fogarty of Pitto and the whole reason we turned our season around was forward pressure. Harry can go in the ruck for few minutes he might enjoy being freed up.
I'd be shocked if he's actually dropped.
He's sore, and needs a rest. If we name him sore, he can't be an emergency. Reckon there's a reasonable chance he'll be sub.

I did wonder when the call would come on Marchy. If his last name was Plowman, some of his efforts from the last few weeks would have seen him drawn and quartered.

All that aside, this has to be the shonkiest team listing in history. Let's see what late changes appear on gameday.
