I can't see Oliver leaving Melbourne but it is a good reminder not to trade future picks unless you really have to. You never know what might come up esspecially when half the players traded are in contract.

Its a big risk but if you can turn Oliver at 26 and $1M a year into Harley Reid you'd be getting in a potentially better player whilst still being able to challenge at the top. The Dee's went well enough without Oliver with wins over Blues, Pies, Saints, Us and the Tigers, if he were to leave its not all doom and gloom.

I think getting Oliver will involve a hard decision by us. I think Melbourne are lacking forwards and we're the highest scoring team in the league.
This deal might cost us TT or Fog. Hard as it will be, it'll still be worth it.

TT and Fog would have to agree to be traded.

and Fog wont… There’s always been strong rumours that Fog would never leave SA to play footy and TT grew up a massive crows supporter and never wanted to play for anyone else. He said so himself when we picked him.
