I'd be happy enough if thats the case to also flick in our GC 2nd to Sydney. Assuming Doedee leaves, we are likely to get a 2nd rounder for him as compo anyway so if we were looking at a pick swap trade with GC for example, we would still have a good had to do it

McAdam is best 22 player also... and Grundy is for sure a best 22 in their team and probably a more valuable player too
It would be a win for every team since Melbourne need to get Grundy off their list

If we want temporary depth in KPD O'Brien makes sense. Cheap, two year deal as cover, it'd be like we have 2 Elliot Himmelbergs
Sounds like we are very comfortable with Tom leaving, which is a good thing. Glad we are holding firm with our lower offer and not increasing it to try and get him to stay.
Don't know if they have just been reading Bigfooty but just heard on Triple M we are looking at Harrison Petty in the McAdam trade.
Sounds like we'd be doing the Dees a bit of a favour taking that Tomlinson deal off their hands. If $500K is what he's earned each year then he's made over $1.5 million the past 3 years to play 23 games of AFL football.
Fingers crossed.
A Hayward, Petty and first round midfield prospect would be a very good off-season.
Even if it involves losing Doedee and McAdam.
Ruck cover would be the other concern.

It could be so easy but due to the "having to win a trade" mentality they'll have to be pick swaps included. Just trade the players and be done with it, every team will value their own player more
Could be done on the first day with out hassle. But it'll hold up like 7 other deals because of the pick swap scenario

We should do that anyway, if we are all about getting SA elite talent back to Adelaide.... that includes saving them from depths that is Port.... maybe we should also send his mum a fruit basket
Maybe not in a direct trade, but we can add more to it.
Murphy for example, so he can keep Mcadam out of their team.
