Look I am all for a permanent half forward with good skills and good conversion.

Jb was always relatively handy above his head as well when he was coming through before a cpl of shoulder injuries.

We could absolutely use a Jamie Elliot style player - JB is actually taller then elliott.

But elliot goes at 65% conversion and JB is 45% - again thats my knock on him.

you can't honestly tell me 40m out with the game on the line you want JB kicking for us - surely as a permanent forward thats your job.

He's played better football as a wingman than half forward.

People are pretty happy with Mason Woods 2023, Billings 2018, 2019 are arguably better, but people want to move him on for peanuts cause they're bored.

yeah against the blues - I can't recall that game - he did get 3 brownlow votes.
5.1 he kicked - f*ck he most have sprayed them to finish with 23.36 for the year around that then!

Problem with Billings is that he is so vanilla. I was at that game and at the time could barely remember seeing him.

its because they were 4 years ago. Do you think in 2027 we will be talking about Wood's 2023 season? And if we are, and its the justifcation for keeping him on the list, I will very much have the same opinion!

As a group of supporters we demand improvement as a club - weve won 1 flag.

being romanced by what a player did 4 years ago isnt going to move our footy club closer to flag number 2.

Nat Fyfe won the brownlow in 2019.

would we pay Nat Fyfe 600+ a year because in 2019 he was the best player in the league?

2020 - JB outside top 10 of bnf after playing 19 games.
2021 - JB outside top 10 bnf after playing 18 games.

not going to look at 22 or 23.

Similar situation to gresham for me - if those within the club don't believe they are top 10 of our list given a 80%+ games played ratio then it raises serious questions on their value towards what our ultimate goal is.

which hopefully is win flag number 2.

how can a guy be such a good percieved kick to a moving target with minimal room for error whilst often under pressure, but be such an average set shot kick when hes got 6.4metres to aim between.

Don’t forget a few years ago Dodoro convinced Dunkley to request a trade to Essendon and then hung him out to dry by not paying up when required. Dunkley was filthy. So was his manager.

If you play 5-6 good seasons then the talent is there. If we can't get the best out of players we might as fold.

If we can get a good player in return or his body is shot then sure move him on, but dumping players like that for a junk pick is just terrible list management, you need 30 decent player to challenge.

Brad Hill didn't make our top 10 in 2020 either, Butler finshed 2nd… only three from that year were top 10 this years…wings and roundabouts.

Also the Pies put a lot of time into Elliot, changed his whole game style to be the player he is.

Been saying it all along that their cap space isn't as good as what they have been claiming ..... but Doper supporters are blind to it or won't accept the fact
