Comfortably.

And you betray your bias with the last line.
there is no bias at all. his best game was against the bulldogs in 2015 when he kicked 4 goals.

career to date he has kicked 108 goals 123 behinds. from 231 shots

if hes a 150 - 175 goal kicker we'd be having a very different convo.

Dan Butler has kicked 152 goals 78 behinds from 230 shots.

That in itself is why JB isn't best 22.

he can't play midfield - is horrible defensive when played on a wing and his pressure and accuracy see him behind butler and higgo as a small forward.

Those are stats - not a biased opinion.

Peter ******* Bell man. Imagine if his wife left him if he carries on like this when a player wants to leave.

If they treat their best forward like this, it may tell you why players want out.

Something terribly amiss with that club

Kicked 5 and had 30 in about 2017 or 2018

I bloody hate the JB/peaheart narrative.
Absolutely bullshit. He hasn’t been the super star we’d all hoped but I’ve watch him run back with the flight and sit under more highballs than many of, if not all of our smalls in the past 10 years.
A peaheart he is not.
Absolutely. Here’s hoping JB stays

His kicking inside 50 is a skill we could do with

SOS got us Caminiti.

He gets huge credits in the bank for that.

We wouldn't have played finals if his son hadn't spilled the beans to Dad that an unknown was giving their future B&F a bath at practice.

Absolutely. Caminiti will be a very good player for many years. Love how he busts packs apart and attacks the ball. Is a real goer, has no fear and has a bit of mongrel about him. But he’s raw and needs development. Let’s be patient with him.

I’ve changed my mind about Dow, despite his untidy kicking. Having looked at some footage I think he has upside for us. Dow is only 23 and was an elite junior talent. He gets the ball, has burst speed, good hands and good decision making.

Sometimes we are quick to write off young men, who mature and develop at different times. Paddy might be one that needs a new club and coach to flourish. He’ll be good for us. Blokes like Brett Kirk and Greg Williams were 22-23 when they developed into elite players.

Let’s see how we go enticing players that we need from other clubs before we form a view about SOS. Henry is a good get. A positive start. SOS also has to balance our list needs and salary cap. I think he’ll do that well.

Unfortunately.

It’s going to be bringing in kids and backing development and hard work.

Exactly, as we basically have no viable other option.

1/ We have very little trade capital, whether it be picks to trade or players
2/ We are not that attractive to good FA's, not that there are any such still on the market now.

So we are going with some cheap acquisitions that address some current weaknesses, and losing Gresham and players who with injuries have done very little even if they Damcould be ok players for us (Billings, Coffield)

Though Dmac goes most likely for free, though does free up a list spot.

If you can bring in another 2 first round picks.

Well one at least.
That’s a good spot to be

Well it is probably the only real option we have. Not sure it is a good spot to be though, but it better than other options.

Billings is a super player when he is fit and firing unfortunately his body has let him down recently and his confidence took a hit .... if he can get his body right I still think he is best 22
Especially with Gresh leaving

how can a guy be such a good percieved kick to a moving target with minimal room for error whilst often under pressure, but be such an average set shot kick when hes got 6.4metres to aim between.
Maybe it's psychological.

I remember watching him win a Sandy game early on off his own boot, kicked multiple goals, hard on the boundary from 50+… unbelievable stuff.

He'll look pretty great in a melbourne or collingwood side, but I hope we keep him. We're building a list of fast athletes who are some of the worst kicks in the comp.

Look I am all for a permanent half forward with good skills and good conversion.

Jb was always relatively handy above his head as well when he was coming through before a cpl of shoulder injuries.

We could absolutely use a Jamie Elliot style player - JB is actually taller then elliott.

But elliot goes at 65% conversion and JB is 45% - again thats my knock on him.

you can't honestly tell me 40m out with the game on the line you want JB kicking for us - surely as a permanent forward thats your job.

Seriously though, there is something seriously wrong with their culture. Everytime I hear someone from that club they are sounding like victims, they talk about 'the East' like some little provincial hayseed with the stereotypical inferiority complex. They need to get their small man syndrome out of their culture.

I never get that same feeling from WCE.
Bit hard to do that with Bell at your club. Definition of small man syndrome that bloke

Billings AND Gresham gone in the one trade period? Oh boy...

Oh Dougal! Come here son...we're...we're umm...we're going to DiSnEy LaNd!!! ;)😎
