Coffield trade was never going to end up on our favour sadly, just what it is.

If the kid wants a fresh start I’m fine with a cheapy deal to get him that.

Gutted to lose him but no point ducking it around, he’s not worth much and it does nothing for us to pretend he is

Said this to Kane and Johnno yesterday morning and they couldn't keep up. Dodo has absolutely cooked the books, and now Gresham is the one that is going to pay (or not be paid).

If I was Gresh and had an agreement with Essendon for one amount and now they are trying to screw him for less coz they want to fit in Duursma I would tell Dildo to GAGF and stay with Saints

It’s going to be interesting to see how high picks in the 30’s, 40’s get moved up when all of the Goldcoast picks get taken up when they match bids. Picks 23,26,27,31,35,37 will all be chewed up in in the 3 bids in the top 11-13. So pick 39 for Coff might actually get you selection 35 or just Liam Henry

I think thats what he was saying, basically because we have no number, we look at what Essendon offer and match it or take the compo.

I find it hard to believe that there are only 7-8 good players in the draft and the rest are trash.

Will be one of those drafts where when they do redrafts in 5-8 years times there will be a heap of guys taken in the 30's and 40's that end in the top 10.

There are always guns found late in drafts. It's probably more luck than anything but they are always there. Every draft tends to have one or two that everybody misses

Everyone saying that, but if the compo is pick 33, that is not a first round pick. Band 2 we don't match and pick 20, band 3 we match and go from there.

Dildo just needs his Ego stroked. He waits all year for this trade/draft period. Its his last hoorah so he is milking it for all he can.

Personally I'll miss him because he is the reason Essendon have been stuck in the bottom half of the ladder for 20 years
