Saints TV discussing Liam Duggan as a potential 'pre-agent' trade option. Either a long-term Jimmy Webster replacement or to free up Sinclair for full time midfield. I'd imagine he'd be quite expensive though, maybe late first round range considering 3rd in BnF and 26 yrs old.

Gringo:
“Yep 100%, he was Owens when we signed him. Looked like he was the one player we had with elite potential. If he'd stayed fit and kept his progression it would have been a bargain. That's list management. Some work out some don't.”

There was talk at some stage ( maybe just hearsay) that he was a party animal and not the most professional preparer.

In Pou, Owens, Windy and Nas we appear to have much more committed players.

That’s the impression I get anyway.

That wasn't quite my point but yep, the kids look a very committed and determined lot this time. To be fair to that last generation, they were never going to achieve anything in footy under Richo and you would just piss away your career with your inflated wallet and deflated hope.

It will be interesting to see if Gresh takes a leap forward with a loud crowd behind him. He seems like big game player who would feed off the energy.

Alright, starting to get annoyed by the possible Coffield compensation of pick 40.

Fullerton just went to Melbourne for pick 47.

If i live in a world where Coffield is only worth 7 more picks in the 40's than Fullerton then it must be in a parallel universe where everything is evil.
You live in a world where Coffield hasn’t played afl football in 2 years

It’s the St Kilda anti tax

Gresh replacement!

He'd be a bit of an okay depth option but not much more. I honestly didn't realise he was still playing. Years back he looked promising but mustn't have progressed. He'd be good for a side that needed a bit of injury cover but that's about it.

Neither has Fullerton (barely anyway) and his reason was because he wasn't good enough... Which is my point.

Coffield is over his injuries now and has twice the upside Fullerton does. Fullerton is coming in as a back up, whereas Coffield will be in the best 22 and seen as addressing a weakness on the Dogs list.

One thing that Barrett asked of SOS that sparked my interest was he asked if there was anything potential trades not public yet, which Barrett continued with "I know there is".

SOS played with a straight bat as you would expect. Barrett finished with "perhaps there will be some surprise trades from the Saints".

2 x ACL's derailed him

I think you just answered your own question. Both have barely played. Both a pick in the 40s

Barrett has mentioned this at least 3 times

Only if his Mum is part of the deal…

Saw a post in here earlier about why Carlton has a thread shitting on other posters (but not quoting them directly or screenshotting posts).

Would be a riot to have it on this board. What do we reckon 😂

Sos - reasonably close to Henry deal. Had lunch with Freo. Fatty from Freo can eat alot (list manager)

Dow - little bit of work to do

Coffield - not far away from doing something. Weekend or early next week
Just hope we don't get screwed. I thought we were screwed re Bruce, but considering what he did for the 3 years at Bulldogs, in the end I didn't mind.

I agree with you… but I think it’s more Melbourne being generous as they won’t use the pick.
