Impressed with Curtin’s tackling that quarter.

Welsh’s run down the wing was very impressive too, didn’t realise he had that pace.

Still just can’t get enough of the ball though and not loving his positioning at stoppages, isn’t giving himself much opportunity to get a clearance.
Almost as though until this week he’d been developed as a defender and probably trained exclusively with the defenders??

Maybe more a coaching and development issue than a Curtin issue??

So when Taylor fails to change the world in his 20 mins of game time today, and Murphy runs around doing non-statistical things scattered among his turnovers, plus Cook being hidden in the dead zone of the forward pocket while the midfield gets killed and relies on the silky delivery of Laird and Berry, i suppose next week’s changes will be:

Out:
Himmelberg, Taylor, Cook

In:
Thilthorpe, McHenry, Jones

Sub:
Dowling

“Ned and Chayce really banged the door down in the SANFL. Let’s forget the fact that prior to the Centrals game neither of them could actually get near it at any level. Door. Banged.”

Let’s ignore the fact that Oscar Ryan takes morning dumps with more talent than Ned McHenry.

Let’s not even give Taylor a full game at AFL level. Why would we when we have Brodie Smith, Rory Laird and Lachie Murphy to lead us to glory. Experienced winners who stand up in big and important games they are. Proven. Champs.

Club is a joke. Player development is a farce. Lack of ability to recognise and properly utilise actual talent is diabolical.

Never said it was solely a Curtin issue, but he’s played enough midfield in juniors to at least know basic positioning at stoppages

I think that's a bit of a symptom of the main issue plaguing Curtin at the moment. He's either not fit enough or that knee injury has derailed him. Seeing there seems to be a few work rate issues there watching him.

The amount of times people try to go over Curtin and not realise how high they have to put it to do that. He gets a lot of cut-offs in play from that.
