Richmond showing how to do a proper rebuild. Move out the guys that have currency, but won't be there for the next premiership push. We would have kept Baker, played him midfield, signed him for 5 years and celebrated his B&F wins, all while screwing ourselves over.
Let's wait and see.

They could be absolutely disastrous for the next few years. It's very hard for kids to develop in a horrendous side. A lot of players passed through Melbourne, GWS and GCS in their dark years - Richmond could find that players don't develop to their potential and they're still rebuilding in a decade.

I know it wont happen, but if somehow we managed to get a pick tonight and get Dodson..... :hearts: :$

Not in the slightest. It's numbers that are ok if you've just drafted someone and want them to sit at HFF for year 1, but for someone who has been a pro for four seasons, it's nowhere near par.

We are talking about a guy who (and I want to stress, is a 4 year pro so most of the catch-up in physical development is done seeing this is the typical breakout point) went at: 9.3 disposals/0.8 goals/0.4 GA/2.2 marks/**** all defense*. That's panic stations for a key forward level of bad, and Cook isn't even a key forward. Possibly the easiest delist we've had in years and we ****ed it.

*I've kept in his sub performances because he performed well the one time he started as sub.
Nah.

When we re-signed Cook, he'd played the last dozen games and was having the best season of his career.

He has genuine talent and is only 21. He was always going to be a high upside player we had to play the long game with, because he arrived physically undeveloped and not ready.

The only one we should have let go was Berry, but it sounds like there were no takers for him.

Clubs should take their full 5 minutes to select. Give maximum time for other clubs to offer a pick swap. Picking quickly is only a disadvantage!
