Billings still the most talented player I’ve seen come through St Kilda in over 30 years, but for whatever reason he just couldn’t consistently deliver on match day. I still blame our coaching and the “Richo effect” on our poor development of highly talented youngsters through those years. To have such high picks and Richardson as coach was always a disaster waiting to happen.
Sure, there were some bad drafting decisions in hindsight but if you don’t have the right coach and development then these draftees are never going to achieve what they were capable of.
In my opinion Richo set us back 10 years at a time that we really couldn’t afford to get things wrong.

Billings to me is mentally fragile & lacks physicality

Have seen a lot of discussion regarding next year’s draft being “compromised” but what does that actually mean and how will it play out ?.

We could try splitting 8 to GWS for 15 & 16 and then trade 7 & 16 to North for 2 and future 1st on a take it or leave it deal.

If that’s the way the order ends up I’d be happy if we kept our picks and get Jagga and Tauru. Whichever way it goes, two picks in the first 8 will give us two very good kids to add to our current crop.
