Dont know about next years draft, but the one after apparently is the best ever
Like the wave that I always regret leaving for the one two after that looks like the monster and then just get colder when it petered out...

That is the resume of a star.

Buddy & Dusty are generational superstars and to be honest if Lachie Neale wins a 3rd Brownlow this year, or a norm smith he will go down as a modern great.

You don't have to convince me that he's a great player, he is he's just not a "star". People who don't follow footy wouldn't recognise his name or face. Buddy and Dusty they probably would. Star suggests a certain level of celebrity or notoriety.

If Dusty moved to Brisbane people who don't follow footy would know that he was big time up there.

How many Harvey Langford videos in a single day do you need?

I'll probably do his weekend game tomorrow.
How long have you been doing this for?

FYI I’m asking from a genuine place of interest.

When you had the #1 pick. I imagine this may have been somewhat fun in a shit year.

Until you took a future back pocket 😂

I don't rate those guys as stars. Excellent consistent mids are not the absolute stars of the comp. I wouldn't even call Lauchie Neale a star. Star is more your absolute transcends footy types. Buddy, Dusty, Fyfe, Bont, Rooey etc.

That is an excellent level and nothing wrong with that at all but I think we'd all love another superstar type to carry us. The Saints were always in the poor house but we always had one or two guys that everyone lusted after. Lockett, Rooey, Harves types were the guys everyone wanted to come to their club. I'm not sure we have anything like that still. Nas is heading that way. Marshall, Wilkie and Sinclair are all A graders but probably just off that level of absolute top of the comp.
So this is why you keep bagging this year’s draft crop, your standards are so high!

Last year was when I started the channel but I've been draft watching for a while. 2006 was the first draft I went full nuffy for.

No they're not. We are arguing semantics. Hyperbole is rife and I'm trying to temper it.

There’s definitely a difference between star of our game, ala Neale & superstars such as buddy, Martin and by your definition of celebrity Bailey Smith.

Not sure Smith is known outside Vic though.

I think he is already a star . He would walk into any side in the league . And every side would want him . To me that means he is already a star and then look at all his awards , I mean what more could you want from a player ?

Notoriety outside of Victoria apparently

No just being a "star" which suggests a level of fame that is reserved for a pretty small pool. I don't think Butters or Gulden are stars but both are exceptional players probably even elite as they are top of the tree by position like Neale.

Perhaps if Neale was at Collingwood and won a flag his profile would be higher.

Liz Hurley and Shane Warne has to go down as one if the weirdest combos ever. Either Warney scrubs up alright in the gentleman's lounge or Liz likes it rough as guts.

The second weirdest ever combo after Flavor Flav and Lionel Blair.
I know a few stories about warney. All of which are about wild parties he threw at his house in Brighton.

He honestly must **** like a pornstar.

Very very very few footballers can manage 264 games @ 27 disposals (13 contested, 6 clearances) a game.

Happy to rank him alongside Buddy Bont and Dusty. Absolute gun.

Anyone saying Lachie Neale isn’t a star of the game needs to eat a bucket of sand.

Genuinely don’t think there are many cleaner players to ever play the game. Does he sit on heads? No. Is he one of the best fundamentalists to ever do it? Absolutely. No question.

Look at how many players have won two or more Brownlow medals and count how many frauds there are lol

But he he’s not in TV weekly so he’s not a star

But he he’s not in TV weekly so he’s not a star

Mark Jackson was in TV week, was on TV, was in movies and had a hit single.

He was known nationally and internationally.

He must’ve been a Super, Super, Super, Superstar

Impossible to have a nuanced conversation with idiots I guess.
No need to play the man gringo.

You would argue with a brick wall if it talked back mate. It’s great to have a different perspective, but you are regularly contradicting yourself in your attempts to be different.

Anyway, play on..

Yeah, no question Lachie Neale is a star of the game. Agree he is not a star in the celebrity sense but easily in top 5 players playing at the moment.
