I think Lalor is a choice made up by this board

Haven’t heard us linked to him at all - Smilie and Langford, Draper all yes. Suspect it comes form that group

Why exactly would the club telegraph to the media who the player on top of their list is this far out from the draft?

There would only be a select few at the club that know that and even then a lot can change with more intense interviews and family meets.

Why ..?

Surely Houston has got a voice in where he plays next year
If his objective is to break his Contract to get back to Melbourne .....he doesn't get to choose the Club in VIC

He has no voice in the matter, it's Port that have to be satisfied

He’s happy to talk to Carlton and north according to reports

So in the end port could say we are happy to deal with north if you want to get back to melb or stay with us ( contracted 2 more years )
Fair enough

On the other hand, why would an established player and 2 x AA move to a cellar dwelling club

He's been playing finals at the power, surely his first choice would be to go Carlton

I think Jeffcrowe was first?

But Jenny had a great source.
Yep took me a while to convince people it was happening but had it from 3 good sources including Peatling camp and the club

Actually wasn’t sure he would choose us but it does make sense re money and on/ off field opportunities as well as Jenny’s source re partners

People keep saying port are no chance to get in ahead of us this draft. North hold pick 2 and might part with that to get him

He might see something brewing at north and a chance to have a crack in 2-4 years time at success

Carlton are in window now but they wouldn’t want to waste too many more years

I think some of you didn’t even sleep last night. The fact that this OFF-TOPIC argument is still going is a sad reflection on you.

It’s a nice day. Go outside. Get some sun.
You definitely don’t live on the Eyre Peninsula one of the worst weather days I have experienced and I had to drive to Streaky to pick up a caravan for my daughter - hideous!

Actually a bit of a shame to miss out on the 20-40 area of this draft but can’t complain about the acquisitions

Re pick 4 , not sure we will get an elite mid in this draft but it will definitely be a good one

Really. Everything I read suggests “super draft”. I know that’s relating to the depth this year which seems phenomenal - you don’t think the top end is “super”

It's okay. There's zero chance we're not taking an elite mid at pick 4.

Get excited now, save some time!

We will definitely pick a mid with pick 4 - take that to the bank
And we will definitely pick Welsh.

Probably the only 2 live picks we take

Never underestimate Adelaide's ability to do something catastrophically stupid when we're being aggressive.

Though I do think it's likely we will, but who knows, Reid and Hamish might trade down for a 2025 first.

Why hasn't anyone fired up the PlayStation yet?

Pick 25 and F3 to GWS for Peatling and 38.

F2 to Melbourne for ANB.

38, 42 and 60 to GCS for 26 and 74 (which we don't use).

Take 26 to the draft.

Cumming, ANB, Peatling, Pick 4, Pick 26 and Welsh.

Throw in some other off field improvements, and it's a great offseason.

Pick 42 to Melbourne for Neal-Bullen

F2 to GWS for Peatling

Carlton are definitely going to be there about for the next couple of years .. injuries this year shagged the back half of their season

North .. it's just really hard to see in the short term

He's 28

Personally I'd be looking to move somewhere that in the window now
