I think people overrate the impact of coaches, and underestimate how much success is the quality of the playing list.

i think it's opposite. The gap between the 15th best team and the 5th/4th best team is a lot smaller than most people think.

It's why almost every year you see at least one team move into the 4 from outside the top 8.

But we should never have been in a position to find out.

Gibbs should have been a Crow in 2017.

If we had of kept our mouths shut and just worked behind the scenes with no noise I think a deal would have gotten done. Carlton were open to moving Gibbs, but once we ran out the minute trade period opened and yelled "Gibbs requested a trade to us!" it put SOS on the defensive and they decided they had to demand the world and more for him.

Significant CBA increase but 6-7 years for FA player like Perryman is crazy but that's the point of FA. Merrett will be on $1M+ after the CBA increase.
