thats a lot to give up for Bolton. out of interest he dropped out of Robbos top 50 at the end of the year after starting in it.

27 next year.

Rankine>>Bolton
Robbo's top 50 is not a legitimate barometer of player quality in any sense. The deal values Bolton at about Pick 4. The unique characteristics of the draft might eventually skew it slightly in Richmond's favour but for now I like the deal for both sides. Bolton is a gun.

also not saying Robbos top 50 is perfect but cmon its pretty accurate in all honesty.

Top 10 this year

Cripps
Daicos
Heeney
Bont
Hogan
Neale
Butters
Serong
Tom Greene

Surely thats a reasonable reflection of the top 10 in the comp? He mentioned Rankine would be top 20 if he played more games

equiv pick 2

There's a Richmond F3, which will be the first pick of the round. I called it Pick 40 and it generated Pick 4 as the result. Call it Pick 3. I'd still do that deal, especially with Bolton being – on paper – such a nice fit for Freo.

It’s not funny, nor joke worthy. For those of us who have survived abuse at the hands of an adult, it’s hideous that anyone can find humour in this.
His posts didn't have anything to do with survivors that you think you should decide if a very public figure can or can't be joked about is funny 😃

So Richmond will have 1, 6, 10, 11, 18, 20, 23, 24

Surely with that many picks you look at trading up

If there is someone available we like at 10 we should trade our F1 for it. Richmond don't need that many picks this year.

And pick 10 in strong draft this year could be equivalent to pick 6 or so next year.

I get all that.

It’s the way it’s written.

“Willing to use pick 4 on him in the psd”

Makes it sound like pick 4 in the psd is a big deal.
It's the threat that we're willing to walk him to the PSD, rather than giving them what they are demanding at the trade table.

i agree for pick 10 or 11 but we would need to decide to pay out someone first - Shoey etc

I actually think Tiges would be open to it also as they mentioned they wanted to spread incoming young talent over a couple of years - not just this year

Throw in next years no 1 as well and likely the year after, if they draft right, they’ll be killing it in about 5 years and have a sustained period given they’ll all be relatively young
Or they could do a North and struggle to get out of the bottom 4 for years after losing all your senior stars at once. Richmond don't have a great history of getting the first rebuild right.

Having them all start together and train together will have a huge impact on their comraderie

And they get the choice to offload some for as good as picks

Turbo charged rebuild
they will be VERY likely be dead bottom next 3 years now though. need to factor that in and potential of players wanting out as they wont be in contention for another 5-6 years now

could actually be the worst result of any team since the new teams came in ie winning 1 or 2 games maximum and a horrendous % of 40 ish
