I listened to the interview, they clearly aren’t trading it unless we got an absolutely stupid offer (what if Melbourne stupidly offered 5 and 9?). Our list spots would suggest it’s just 4 and Welsh though.

So Trade/FA in summary:

OUT: pick 28, pick 46, F2, Himmelberg
IN: ANB, Cumming, Peatling, 2 x F3s, F4

We’ve done ok.

Most importantly we have added 3 best 22 players.

Last year we lost 2.

Also, we keep pick 4 to use on a gun midfielder, get Welsh & upgrade Keane... & have plenty of picks for next year.

Should free up another spot... as Richmond won't use all their picks & we could trade back into the draft if there is a player we want.

Just ok? That’s an A grade off season, the best this club has had overall in over 20 years in terms of bringing in multiple players that improve the best 18. Also kept pick 4.

It's a shame we didn't take in the same philosophy when we had a 25 year old contracted Rory Laird (same age as Shai Bolton) and a 27 year old contracted Brodie Smith (same age as Dan Rioli) right there to offload at the end of 2019

The problem with that is go home factor. It’s not like Baker and Bolton are leaving their home state to play elsewhere. This isn’t even a money issue as Richmond could offer similar contracts

Would have needed to be Sloane (which would have been more like a Parker deal) - did we have anyone else?
McGovern - even though we didn’t won’t that to happen?

Changing our ruck for next year isn’t moving the needle with what was available this trade period, happy if they’re loading up to make a play for someone next year with ROB OOC. Still think that should be Reidy from Freo, but it’s seemingly Draper.
