Yep but didn't think he was any worse than normal...

That isn't surprising. I doubt that there is anyone here that wants him to leave because they don't rate him.everything hawks fb page, got tired of reading the positive feedback re battle,no dissenting opinions
No current season stats available
12 months after this full season feels like light years away I might be cooked by thenOk so let’s look at the midfields of the premiership sides over the last decade. Acknowledging that yes there is some academy/father son picks.

So the formula is very simple and what we already know. The best midfields tend to be 3/4 of top 5-10 picks with a couple of steals along the way.
So if we have the option of gaining a 2nd potential top 5 pick for Battle, take it and run.
Draft 2 top mids and then grab LDU 12 months later and we have completely transformed our list and our midfield into one that can actually contend.
I think Battle is a very f*ckin good player. We ain't getting a top 5 pick for battle. More chance of us landing LDU and that ain't happening either
so jordan butts from the chardonnay sippers and lobb
hold me back
There is already more than enough crap involved with St Kilda's list management. So no need to manufacture more crap.I’m sure it’s been mentioned but I haven’t read it so I thought I’d add to the Battle discussion…. But not having battle on the books would free more crap to chase LDU with.
I'd probably have to bust out the credit card, get online to maybe Kmart or something, grab meself a cheap Anko microwave, perhaps even pay a little extra for expedited delivery, and then just wait patiently for the Delivery Man with membership card at the ready.so jordan butts from the chardonnay sippers and lobb

And for the people saying the draft isn’t the answer due to our past mistakes.. the drafting of elite talent simply is the only answer. For the people worried that Battle might go on to have a great career somewhere else. Well good luck to him. We need to be innovative to improve our list.
Past mistakes were made under poorer coaches/development and recruiting teams. This is clearly something we have rectified recently so time for us to let them get to work.
Maybe so, but do remember that using your Jack & the Beanstalk analogy, Jack actually wonIn Butts out Batts has a nice ring to it though. New name?
Battle is one of those culture players IMO. Losing him has real culture killer potential.
It is a shame that after this long we are still at a stage of selling off our good players to get more draft picks that we inevitably waste. We never win matches but we all circle jerk about how great the trade period has been when we go sell the cow for some magic beans.
Your level of pessimism is unmatched. Especially when it completely contradicts the crap you say you want.Been telling people this for years but moving one out to get a gamble on a another isn't good list management.
Our midfield now has Dow- pick 3, Steele pick 20 something (academy), Crouch pick 2 (mini draft) and we have a few high pick on the list that are developing. Our natural pick will be top 6 this year and if we nail it we will end up with a quality mid.
Selling your kitchen to remodel the living room isn't a model.

Imagine landing O’Sullivan and Smith.Watching Richmond beat up on the crows last night and seeing their potential ins for the next few weeks and seeing the Eagles have North this week I want full tank. Win one, maybe two more games this season. Battle for band 1 take picks 2 and 3 to the draft. Get two gun mids. Keep Van Es and let Van Es, Wilkie and Arie be the key back 3. 2025 develop and set that war chest up for LDU.
Mids rotation of 2, 3, Steele, LDU, Windy and resting forwards (get Zurhaar too cause why not). King, Owens and Camma with Collard and a refreshed Butler at those feet. Nas and Sincs roaming the wings and Pou as a floating forward.
2026-2028 3-peat thanks

that one - he flogged the Giant(s) and got the girl. Sometimes magic beans turn out OK.
I’ve got some "magic beans" I’m planning on germinating in Spring - hoping for similar success.

Thats a bold strategy, Cotton.Am prepared to trade RTB for Nicks and Adelaide’s first.
to be fair the same thing was said about Brett Deledio and Ryan Griffin and to a lesser extent Grundy, Treloar, Phillips and Stephenson at CollingwoodIn Butts out Batts has a nice ring to it though. New name?
