So which are you talking about as you were talking about how good we are at taking care of players towards the end of their career's and now your taking about players that want out.
Not sure we have have had too many good players leave us toward the end of their career's , most were delisted or retired

Everyone keeps saying it's 'even' why are clubs scrambling to get up the order into the top 6-7? Also on the 'even' thing, talent is even but player types aren't.

Problem being that norf would fancy their chances of getting at least that value for LDU via a forced trade next year.

Think both are pretty complimentary to one another. Older guys at the end of their careers, weve generally looked after pretty well with honesty or letting them move if it makes sense.

2 - Finn O'Sullivan OR Sam Lalor whoever Richmond don't pick
7 - Josh Smillie OR Harvey Langford whoever Melbourne & Richmond don't pick at 5 & 6
26 - Plenty of options also the second pick on night 2 so clubs might pay overs
32 Traded for Brodie Kemp
45 - Speculative pick
47 Traded for Jack Macrae

This trade period has been excrutiating. They are finishing off with a bang showing these endless cam shots of the Norf and Geelong rooms. Still over 4 hours left. Kill me now!

They can but they couldnt announce until 2pm.

It does seem like the AFL extending the trade "week" and making the deadline later has just meant absolutely **** all happens until the 11th hour. I reckon last year was similar too.

it was Barks4Eva on SS...........who then famously followed up by depositing papers containing rucks stats on the desk in the coach's box at Marvel before a game!! His plan may well have worked had he not put the ruck stats in the opposition coaches box !!
