AFLW 2024 - Round 8 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
My understanding is it's now max 42 players (primary and cat a rookies) and 2 cat B rookiesHandy for those of you at home trying to figure out list spots.
Pretty sure Sharman is no longer a rookie, with his 2 year contract the other month. Leaves us with the following rookies.
Rookies: Jack Hayes, Max Hall, Max Heath, Anthony Caminiti
Cat B: Angus McLennan, Liam O'Connell
We have 34 on the primary list currently (including Macrea), likely to drop to 32 with Membrey (FA) and Paton (delisted).

We should have picked up Bont, Naicos, Gawn and May. Our list management team have got no idea. What improvements do you reckon we should have made
Oooo, careful with that kind of inflammatory talk!I did however miss being apart of the dribble.
One can only hope.He is the poster boy for the mediocrity movement. Proof positive that literally anyone can get the top job. He's never held a job outside the industry of politics, and even then he relied on factional machinations to squeeze into the prime ministership.
Now that the polls have turned away from Labor, watch the party dump him before the next election for the heir apparent, Jim Chalmers. Think back to the ruthless axing of Bill Hayden for Bob Hawke in 1983. History will repeat.
Tbh we had an excellent hand to start with.
We were beaten on a couple of moves - notably one by the Dees who gave up their entire future next year as well.
We did the right thing imo and are still in a very strong position to “help” other clubs out at a nice premium for us if we choose to do so.
Going to be very interesting to see what happens immediately after pick 7.
Regardless of media clap trap from certain interests, Albanese will be returned with a reduced majority at the next election, Dutton will have 12 months to prove his credentials in order to hold on the Lib leadership then he will most likely get the flick, nothing much will change and life will go on and hopefully the Sainters will get back into the final 8.He is the poster boy for the mediocrity movement. If you get compensated on commission. It always sucks to get drawn into a bidding war.
If you win it means that you just gave up more than everyone else was prepared to bid. Is that really winning?

At the very least not very well advised. If I recall correctly, Preuss had the ambition of playing alongside Gawn in a two ruck combo. Didn’t work obviously.I never quite got Preuss, he was always talented but seemed to be low ambition.
It was bizzare when he chose to go from being second fiddle behind Goldstein to second fiddle behind Gawn.
Had enough of this. More interested in the footy. The door is open for someone like Keeler.
No doubt the club goes defender dumpster diving but the young fella can't say there's been no opportunity for him
I'd get Ryder down to spend time with Keels. He is a dead set freak of a footballer, but I don't think he has many or any good ruck/forward coaches to take him under their wing.Keeler is as much a key defender as Max King, he is not the answer in defence.

Of all players on our list, I'd have Keels top 5 on pure talent
Apparently McAndrew is a good tap ruckman who can stick a tackle thanks to a Rugby background. Dalrymple would know a lot about him so he might be a great developing break glass option.
As for defenders, Tomlinson seems one of only a few DFA tall defenders who doesn't seem to be an injury prone. The guy from Bombers sounds interesting, but we may as well redraft Van Es if we want to risk it on an injury prone talent. DGB could come good, I'd enjoy the irony if we grabbed him and he became a gun.
When are the club going to get you on the payroll?
How much money would it take bruh?
6 hours ago.Is that player update from today.?
I notice the draft picks are 7.8 29.39
