I’d say we are the fall back option and Richmond are in the drivers seat. You’re in an arms race with Richmond atm for Pick 2 is all I know
I lived down on the Bellarine peninsula a fair while back, and it was a very nice place to live. But going back in recent times, the place is getting overdeveloped and unrecognisable in some parts- nice open paddocks now covered in cheap housing developments and generic outer suburban retail chains. Looks like property developers have been given carte blanche.Outside of their cotton on partnership, it’s substantially cheaper to live along the bellarine than it is to live along the peninsula by comparison.
Money goes further, and lifestyle in infinity better down that way.
That would be a dream, not too far fetched either.I’d say we are the fall back option and Richmond are in the drivers seat.
I think it ends up with them, but I dream of
Gaining: 2,15,16,21
For
Net loss: 7,8,32 + F1
Either way it's a win/win (if you are in the Smillie camp). If Richmond gets pick 2, then they will likely not take Smillie and we get him at 7. If we get pick 2, then we get one of the top mids either FOS/Lalor/Jagga etc.I’d say we are the fall back option and Richmond are in the drivers seat.

Imagine the melts if we ended up taking both Tauru and Armstrong at 7 and 8 lol. Even though both look good.

I've seen this movie before, the first acts great but it's pretty anticlimactic.According to some Gimps on here even mentioning this is a fantasy.View attachment 2155153

With Trainor as the fallback option. Now you’re cooking.Imagine the melts if we ended up taking both Tauru and Armstrong at 7 and 8 lol. Even though both look good.
Rehashing Jay Clark’s articleFox Sports report saying where chasing multiple late 1st round picks.
So GWS and Richmond come into play
Yep, we were paying his $500k either way but at least now we open up another draft pick.So we re-rookie Crouch and pay his 500k or whatever it is so we can have an extra main list spot for the draft?
If only the Saints list manager posted on here like the other clubs seem to do.We only be doing that pick 8 swap if the chips don't fall our way at 7 I reckon
If we get a Smillie / Jagga / Langford at pick 7 ... I reckon we use pick 8 on Allen and try and use our F1 to grab one of the GWS picks
If Smillie / Jagga / Langford / Reid aren't available at pick 7 and we have to use it on Allen then we split pick 8 for those later GWS picks
If Tigers & North do a swap then you would imagine one of those highly rated mids will fall to us
Of course this all depends if the story about us wanting Allen are true
It also could be that we actually don't rate Smillie & Reid now after interviewing and there are others we have a bigger hard-on for which will likely be available at picks 15 / 16
It's just all talk and games at the moment ... a whole lot of posturing

Only trouble with LDU is that North is likely to match any offer we make even the $1.5M being bandied aroundKinda figured we'd be a very good chance of getting Brayshaw but that now looks less and less likely. LDU is the one that would make the most difference to our team, he's just the type of player we lack. Him, Steele, Macrawdaddy with Pou and the younger crew plus a couple of top ten picks and some injury luck would definitely speed up the process and see us contending sooner rather than later. Hopefully with Luke our fortunes will change in regard to landing the proverbial big fish. Really though for this coming season, I just hope we can have more players available for longer. Injuries haven't allowed us to see what we can really do with what we've got, fingers crossed we do a lot better next year and have most of the list available.
