Proud of Sween and Marn

Don't think India bowled their best but **** it

Tend to agree looked a bit short in general bar Bumrah who is a gun

Huge effort from McSweeney and Lab

My understanding is that as it’s the Ashes, Adelaide will still get very good crowds even for a day test whereas CA are trying to prop up the Gabba which traditionally draws poor crowds so hopefully a D/N test can pull in some extra numbers

one of the Fox commentators (maybe Howie) was suggesting it was the SACA who wants to go back to day tests ? Not sure if its true or not

Could be the making of the new kid, jeez we need one or two!
Great cameo by marnus

McSweeney......good old fashioned display from an opener....dig in....guts it out and show some fight (with a bit of luck which is needed) when the ball and deck has some life...then start to gain some momentum and play some shots. Good signs so far in my opinion.

Thats what Australia needs at the top of the batting order.

Awesome days cricket. They were under massive pressure going into this test, and when we lost the toss I feared the worst.

Our fast bowling trio were brilliant, and I thought we fielded well.

Our top 3 batsmen have done us proud today - I reckon if you took a poll at the innings break, a lot of people would have said we'd be 5-6 down at stumps.

Khawaja exudes 'chill' and I think he's an awesome partner to have with a young opening batsmen.

Reckon McSweeney and Labs have unlocked the blueprint for the rest of the series.
Top 3 play super conservative against Bumrah (understanding they might get a worldie) and play with more freedom against the other two ****heads.

Love the look of McSweeney, he belongs.

Toys came out of the cot pretty quickly from Rana and Siraj pretty quickly when things weren't going their way

Had a chuckle when Nerdling panicked because he thought the end of days play was at 10pm, he didn't know it had been extended by 3mins.

Read a good suggestion on Twitter that the punishment be imposed by making the fielding team spend time without fieldsmen: 1, 2, 3 etc for an allotted time depending on how far behind the rate they are
What do you do if it’s the batsmen ****ing around with glove changes/ drinks/ pitch conferencing (and I say this knowing Steve smith is a big offender)

It’s got to be at the umpire or match referee’s discretion but as soon as their next fielding innings starts, they cop the same punishment depending on how much time they have cost the game, presumably

It’s also wait for it DAY TWO tomorrow why are we wanting to be bowling on day 2? Can we give the bowlers a day off for once? This has been half the issue and why our bowlers look cooked every series- they are bowling back to back days. It’s ridiculous. Just bat bat and bat hopefully make near 500 plus
Ideally bat until just before tea. On day 3.

Agree mate just trying to be realistic. If we are all out with an hour to go tomorrow night we should be 150 in front. Get into them.

Still hate the idea of our bowlers bowling on another consecutive day. Pitch should flatten right out for the first two sessions tomorrow
