Like so many spinners he’s battled here a bit but had his moments last tour and a few times when he’s played here even when he hasn’t necessarily threatened too much he’s had notably more control than 80 per cent or other visiting spinners.

Congratulations to Ravi Ashwin on an excellent career. I always liked his willingness to Mankad the non striker when an opportunity arose. A terrific bowler who will end up in a commentary box before too long.

His press conference he did come across as a good speaker. Im sure he will be around the game, in some way , shape or form. Conference went pretty swift, didnt show too many tears and he seemed to want to make it not all about him. I guess he didnt want to distract the team of their goals was what I picked out from that conference today.
