Jim is a cooker. Listening to him complain about Covid protocols in Victoria today on ABC radio and then have Sunny tell an anecdote a couple of minutes later, prefixed with the explanation that his batting partner in the story was no longer with us due to Covid, was all kind of awkward.
What is worse is how demeaning it is for any commentator to spout the drivel and say it so positively. How much do they get paid for spouting the stuff? Would I buy a funeral service because Whateley sprouted it, no (I’m getting cremated anyway)

The more I watch Murali videos the more convinced I become that the apparent straightening is due to his ridonkulous shoulder rotation and the camera angle.

These upper echelon bowlers just tend to the freakazoid side of things. Warnie could do things with his wrist that no one has really replicated.

Nope. Muralitharan was an out and out chucker.

Please elaborate, not sure where this game is going, perhaps Marsh 6 for, lol.

Yeah more likely to see the Stars win a game than Marsh getting 6 for

That was ropa dope shit, and Ali got tired and smashed in the last by our old fella, Test Cricket is the crème de la crème.

Make them warm up, go out to field. Make Bumrah bowl another over.

Opening bats only have 10 minutes to prepare.

Australia get to have a choice of roller in the morning
dogs105 talking sense as expected. That's my B&F 😍

Laws of Cricket says he throws it......BUT.....I.C.C playing conditions allow for a certain amount of learway for degrees in terms of arm straightening. This provision was implemented when the issues for Murali cropped up.

As a former umpire....there's nothing the umpires can do. They'd be told not to no-ball any bowler for chucking. We already saw what happened with Darryl Hair in 1995 and Ross Emerson in 1999. Opened a can of worms.

Anyway it is what it is. When I umpired we were instructed not to no ball any bowler for chucking and simply report it in the umpires match report and the competition/association would take it from there.
As a captain the onus was on me not to bowl someone who did not have a legitimate action. Doesn’t matter if the game is virtually over, or he is a top bloke. The umpire shouldn’t be put in that position.

When Murali was coming up through the grades they were told not to pick him until he fixed up his action, repeatedly.

Well said. Exactly.

Exactly.

Saeed Ajmal fixed his.

The ICC wroked out that when he bowled his doosra he straightened his elbow by 35 degrees or more (left picture) and thus illegal. He worked on his action so he could come back and bowl legally.

The ICC have tested Bumrah and said he straightens it less than 15 degrees but they haven't tested/measured in match conditions. He's definitely more than 15 degrees sometimes.

Personally, when they made the accommodation for Murali I think 15 degrees was excessive. 10 degrees would have been more than enough.

Marsh will get 70 in Sydney, and take an important wicket both innings.

Take it to the bank.

Couldn’t even get 70 If he had 4 innings
