The motivation to drop Marsh is in part to play Starc at all costs.
I actually agree with this and I think it's a valid point from Lovelace......reckon if starc was 100 percent fit Marsh would've been picked note I think marsh should've been dropped regardless.....they are wanting the extra bowling cover from Webster as starc is not 100 %

Calm down, Alyssa. Starcy already has his very own Order of White Knights on here that will charge in at any moment to defend their man's honour, so you don't need to log in yourself.

He had match figures of 1-111, with the one wicket being from a clearly out of form player throwing his wicket away. You're going to die on that hill?

You think playing an injured player coming off 4 consectutive tests, the last of which was those figures, who has an average of 45 at the SCG is a prudent selection decision?

I think its a huge risk by the selectors and they will live or die by there selection ....we saw earlier this series as I said previously that they picked an underdone bowler in Hazelwood and he couldn't get through...Also history has shown Starc has struggled the back end of series ..thats fact

Saying that starc might come out and take 5 for but its a big risk IMO ...if it goes belly up and starc struggles and we lose...I will be extremely pissed and the selectors should be held accountable

Great to see Webster rewarded.

I’m actually going to give some credit to the selectors.

We are currently leading a series vs India heading into the last test. Have debuted the 2 standout Shield performers and a young gun.

I reckon I’ve seen enough in McSweeney to suggest there’s something there despite his struggles against a gun bowler averaging 12 for the series. Konstas did what he did, it will be a wild ride, he’ll probably be dropped at some stage but it’s exciting to see it play out.

Webster a clear stand out in the shield, deserves his chance.
“Where are these guys averaging over 50 in the shield these days?” Webster is that man.

Not sure, They got Phil Hughes out of the team as quick as they could.
Phil Hughes had a significant technical flaw that he and his management refused to address until he was dropped for the second time. We will unfortunately never know if he fixed it to a point where he would have made it as a long term Test player. This is a fact.

Don’t want to be negative but if Jaiswal had of held his catches this board would be a much different place right now.

And if Joel blind Wilson gave a plumb lbw 50 runs earlier it would have been easier our way. Catches win matches it was a game of small margins

Currently raining a couple of km from SCG.
Looks like it will clear soon enough

I live like 5 min away it’s fine just put my dogs out. Just about to stroll to the ground

Days gone by I would be on the train somewhere around Mt Victoria around now with a mix of vodka and Powerade coursing through the veins in a bid to get me through the day in good enough health to see me to the Cross later in the evening.
A heady mix phat. I’ll be having a couple of quiet ales this arvo while tuning in.

A hip flask of mother's ruin is always a good cricket accessory.

From an Indian supporter on Sharma:

The spat is about the fact that GG wanted to play for a draw in the 3rd/final session. Rohit asked Pant and Jaiswal to chase it down. Hence, Gambhir is pi$$ed that some players tried to play with their individual/small-group plan instead of team agreed plan at Tea. That is why Pant is also in the firing line.
