Minor leg issue…will be back post byeAny idea what it is?
I agree that a 26yo élite midfielder is exactly what we need next year. Danger joined at that age I think and frankly we don’t climb the mountain without that trade (and of course Jezza). Our big gap is an elite mid in that age bracket to bolster us while we have Guth and Danger but also to take over when they are gone and lead the next generation (who will still be coming into their peak)..Guthrie I disagree as he has been pretty poor all season long (22 disposals, 3 clearances) but no doubt Dangerfield is a big loss.
I would also include Stanley and De Koning. While Stanley is no star, he is of similar importance to what Darcy Cameron is to Collingwood.
Darcy Parish be a handy inclusion next season by the way.
Definitely yes for Parish if it happens. What the last fortnight has shown is that without Dangerfield, Guthrie and Duncan we don't have a midfielder who can accumulate 30+ and make the game theirs. We have role player mids Blicavs, Atkins, Bruhn, Parfitt, Holmes. Admittedly at varied stages of development cycles.Guthrie I disagree as he has been pretty poor all season long (22 disposals, 3 clearances) but no doubt Dangerfield is a big loss.

Only issue with Darcy of course is his size. Ideal would be a 188cm 26yo star midfielder - but they aren’t available very often!
I didn’t ask for a list of your players. I asked if that excuse is valid for every team, or just Geelong.Stanley
Bowes
Guthrie
Dangerfield
Duncan
O Henry
Rohan
Sam Dekoning.
8 is a lot mate… of cause it will have a huge impact
So you're confirming the Cats have no depth...Very observant, most had Danger ALL Australian before the injury, did you expect a midfield of Bruhn, Atkins, Holmes to get it done
on yesterday output, of course, you are spot on... they needed the health of the old fellas last year too, I don't think many deny do they?So you're confirming the Cats have no depth...
Yes mate, WCE and Sydney have done nothing but go on about it and it’s clearly shown in the results as both have similar injury lists.I didn’t ask for a list of your players. I asked if that excuse is valid for every team, or just Geelong.
Curious question. So you're confirming the Cats have no depth...
Err they are all b22. The only one up for debate is probably O Henry but I have him in personally after his performances. The rest are in including bowes easily. It’s not 8 and never has been! Some of those you mentioned are not even best 22… can we please be a no excuse football club? Essendon were missing their starting midfield and power their forward line but they got it done! Walyalup out ran and worked Geelong and deserved the win.
Quite right.Freo fans on here watching their team playing clearly better than our weakened team and about to win a key game spending all their time whining about umpires. Hilarious. Your team is working their way back in this year and you should enjoy it. Got a lot to enjoy I would have thought
