Port love Marvel. Dogs could be up by 5 goals with 8mins to play in the game and port would still find a way to ar$e a win. they cant do anything wrong right now. Pencil neck Marshall and Finlayson to kick bags or 4 and 5. Port to win by 4 or 5 goals

I have a feeling the wheels will fall off Port in this game and the Bulldogs will win by 3 goals...

Port probably need this one more as they will have home ground advantage in finals which is profound the way they're travelling.

Go 2-0 and top four is a lock.
1-1 and they're in the box seat but drop this one and they face Geelong who welcome back their midfield and will throw the kitchen sink at them and will be well rested.

Dogs are not losing 3 games in a row and 2 games in succession at Marvel. If they did, then Beveridge will not last the year out as coach. Port will need to be in god mode to win this one.
Dogs are not that great and are missing their back flankers. Port will only lose this one if they get complacent or WB greatly lift their forward efficiency (as the Cats did against them).

We had this and blew it in 2020 & 2021. I think we are better serve playing every week during the finals and not have the week off during the semis. The old term "match hardness in finals" comes to mind with our game style.

Rozee & Butters will run circles around our back 6, not sure what master plan Bevo has in his back pocket. Port by 25

I don't understand power fans at all...

You have to pick the team that's won 9 in a row against the team that's lost their last two
The majority of port fans and members will be very confident and picking port for the win. Won the last 8 at Marvel and like you said 9 in a row.
It is the vocal minority on this site that you are hearing from.

If we left round 2 & 3 'not wanting to feel that way ever again' then surely a game against the team that pumped us in the 2021 prelim is enough incentive to continue the run.

That being said, we're due a loss. And probably a pumping tbh.

Ridiculous statement, you've played 5 interstate games to date, and we've played 4 - hardly a huge disparity

Also you've had 7 home games, 6 of them to disadvantaged interstate teams. We've had only 6 home games in Melbourne, and half of them are against Victorian sides so the advantage is negated

Port supporters are some of the biggest sooks going around, they don't deserve to have a team playing exciting football and with some of the best young stars coming through

I saw some on your board complaining that a lot of your wins were by small margins! Wtf cares? We won all our games last year by bugger all and we were ecstatic

You lot need to lose your victim complex and learn to enjoy the fact your team has won 9 in a row, it could always be worse and you could be Carlton supporters
Well said- most of the sooky supporters you talk of are posters on this forum. Not a true indication of the mood of the supporter base. Most of us are ecstatic, and have high hopes for the rest of the season.

We lost the 2nd half last week. That is enough of a loss to give us motivation to be on song this week. I don’t buy the notion of “due a loss”. The real premiership contenders just win.

Surprised at the odd Port fan not confident. We just shot ourselves in the foot twice in a row against lesser opposition while top 4 was up for grabs.

Think they'll do it pretty easy.

Richards and JJ are pretty important players for us out of the back half. We don't really have decent depth any more

Port's grit should see them through. Heaps of midfield pressure, the Dog's kryptonite, tackling, and that the Dogs backline looks suspect, will provide a port win. Dogs in the (dog) house.

Though, if the pressure level is off, Dogs could get off the leash.

Dogs with their backs against the wall is Bevos main tool. So many times they’ve been written off and they win against the odds which keeps the naysayers at bay for another 8 weeks of up and down form.

Round 3 against Brisbane. Round 3 2022. 2016. Prelim 2021.

I don’t rate Bevos wacky positional changes but I do think he’s a good motivator when using public criticism.

They often enjoy these wins at Marvel against interstate sides.

Dogs by 11. English & Bont to take control. Port also due an off night where in a close game it falls the other way.
