No he wasn’t. Owens marked it and then took about two or three steps forward and that’s where the guy stood the mark, so he was way way over and that’s probably part of the reason he was pinged.
Yeah when I watched it a 2nd time I realised he took the first grab a metre behind where Gulden stood. (need to check it a 3rd time to make sure he didn't take the 2nd grab where Gulden was but I think you're correct).

Either way, really ****ing harsh to not give a warning in that position and that situation.

Swans are in big big trouble moving forward. They have so many players that are just vanilla. Cunningham, Mcinerney, Clarke, Fox, Hayward, Wicks. Where are these guys at?

They also have so many similar types. Campbell, Florent, Rowbottom etc.

Just a strange strange setup at the moment. Franklin also needs to be tapped on the shoulder now.
They have the 6th youngest list in the comp and just played off in a grand final. I doubt they are too concerned.

They have a couple of holes to fill but have the basis of a very strong list going forward.

Heart DEFEATS Flash.
A victory for the true believers.

Saints with 60% more tackles than Swans.

Tackles versus Entitlement.

Lol?

They just scored 80 points against a bottom 6 team and had less scoring shots than them!!

Christ. They're just awful.
Just don’t understand the hate towards St. Kilda by some on here. Sydney a decent side and always tough to beat at the SCG. Throw in tough conditions, Buddy’s 350th and a venue where the Saints have not won for 14 years and it stacks up as a pretty good win. Unlikely they can threaten for a flag this year but are building nicely. For a team that was widely touted as being bottom 4 they deserve some respect. Comfortably in the 8 with and 3 of their 4 losses have been by a goal or so. Other more fancied teams would love to be that ‘awful'.

Not sure if it has been mentioned but the commentary last night was excruciating. DP spent 20 minutes rambling on incessantly about Butler’s looming suspension on the basis of Blakey’s “concussion” and then had the eventual match winner Max King subbed off early in the last Q. Thankfully Phil Davis and Jude Bolton saved it from being a complete farce. The game was hard enough to watch without that level of mediocrity from the commentary box.

Personally I thought Saints looked pretty awful for much of it. (And we were even awfuller.)

The guy spends half his time on here trying to pot the Saints. Someone from St Kilda must have hurt him.

8-4 with a heap of kids in the team doing well. Not a great deal to complain about.

Good to see our boys giving Buddy a good send off, if the Swans were playing anyone else I would have been cheering on the Swans to a win tonight.

That's probably the last time we will play against him, thank god, he's burnt us numerous times in the past but he looks like he is cooked.now.
Clint Jones says Hi!

Agree with this but Max King wasn't subbed off, Caminiti was. King was looked at and then came back out and kicked our last goal.

You may have missed that given the commentary in the second half was almost entirely waxing lyrical about Dan Butler's tackle.

Maybe I didn’t articulate it properly that was exactly my point. King was not subbed, Caminetti was. However the commentators told the viewer’s multiple times that King was subbed out and was being replaced by Sharman.
