We can't stop anyone scoring 100 points. I doubt we can kick 120

We get Reid back so that is a massive plus. Defense is better than last game I reckon. If we can get the contested ball we can see what the fwd line can do for us.

Did Pendles look restricted during the Tuesday training session? Like every week he will be very important in our performance although especially tonight as we need a major improvement in our contested ball and will be doing so without swan and steele.

The big key to tonight's game will be stopping Richmond having uncontested footy when coming out of defence, last year they were allowed to flick the ball around with short sharp kicks to players leading up the ground.
Once they got that free man anywhere near the middle of the ground then the run came, usually the run starts from half back but in that game it came further up the field.

We allowed the Tigers 40 or so more kicks and 5 more centre clearances while we had 7 more inside 50 marks, 7 more inside 50's and 10 more stoppage clearances and arguably efficiency and patience with the footy was the difference.

The annoying thing is we zoned off and allowed tis uncontested movement to happen, I am of the opinion that Richmond do not like manic fast and contested footy, they prefer to have structured control of the game and do it very very well, probably the equal of Hawthorn when allowed to.
We need to make the most of the game when it is at it's hottest especially when fatigue sets in combined with the 90 rotations Richmond will not go away.

I am really expecting a win tonight, I do not think the fact teams are now in an attacking trend mindset actually suits the Tigers and we have a massive chance of righting the wrong's of last week.

Eddie has summed up the mood at Collingwood all week. He's been saying we are going to be fired up, said Collingwood will be a force to be reckoned with, when Eddie speaks we as a club listen. If the players want to play finals this year which I believe they need to I would put my money on Collingwood to win by 30 points.

whilst most of us want Cloke to roam further afield if Rance goes to him tonight he has to play from the goal square. We cant let Rance up around half back to intercept or launch counter attacks.

I wont judge this game on winning. attitude and intent are my markers.

We can't allow Richmond to just hold onto the ball and control terms tonight, we need to make sure it's a contested footy game, last week they only managed to beat Carlscum by 2 contested posessions. If they struggle to beat that mob comfortably in contested ball, it's safe to say we should have their measure when it comes to winning the contested stuff around the ground.

Cloke can't be the focus of our I50's tonight, it won't end up well for us if this is the case, we can't be predictable AT ALL. Too many times we use him as our go-to man inside 50 and the opposition easily cuts it off because they know we are going to him. Like in the NAB cup, if we can keep them guessing and change up our hit ups inside 50, it keeps us dangerous and keeps every defender on their toes.

Looking forward to tonight, pies by 17

You're simplifying it a tad there.

We CAN stop teams, but most of that comes from the midfield running back more so than our defenders not being able to prevent scores. For the first half of last year, we were Top 2 or 3 in defense. But our midfield actually....you know....ran back then.

That will depend on how Cloke and the team starts, we need to ensure there is enough of a threat to keep Rance honest, If Rance Starts running off and moving himself further up the ground with Richmond in control, then Reid may have to go forward and Moore pushes further up the ground.

Was just about to post the same thing! My first thought when I received the same text message was "I'll turn up if you and the rest of the boys do as you didn't last week"

Right, glad I got that off my chest ... GO PIES!

As to the bolded bit, really? Let Ed and Bucks swap roles for the evening, then.

I can't wait til they interview Treloar post game after our win and his BOG 38 possession 3 goal game and he says "see, I told you we had a better list"

Um, anyone have a clue as to why GA tickets are $48.80 on the Ticketmaster site? Have i missed something?

EDIT: For some reason i was redirected to Ticketmaster, thought Ticketmaster took over MCG matches for some reason. Odd.
