Its Dale. I believe we've more than likely moved beyond further debutants unless injuries necessitate it.

Re: AFL Round 20 - Collingwood vs Port - Prematch & Selection Discussion

Not overly thrilled about playing Wood and Jolly in the same side.

Would have much preferred to stick with Keeffe.

Great to have Dids and Daisy back.

Harry... Rested surely?

Re: AFL Round 20 - Collingwood vs Port - Prematch & Selection Discussion

Good to see Fasolo has been able to keep his spot. I was fearing he wouldn't with Dids coming back in. It's a bit harsh on Sinclair and it would've been a good opportunity for him to get some game time against Port seeing as they most likely won't be a challenge for us.

Re: AFL Round 20 - Collingwood vs Port - Prematch & Selection Discussion

You can see the thinking behind Wood playing, Jolly will play more forward this week, and Wood will take a lot of the ruck work.

Plus Leigh Brown will play as a permanent forward, which he has done in the past, just not so much for us.

Didak and Thomas back, not bad inclusions.:)

Harry with "knee soreness", guess it's his time to be rested.:)

Gratz to Taz on being selected to play his 250th.:D

Macaffer and Sinclair out?

Don't understand the match committee this week.

Re: AFL Round 20 - Collingwood vs Port - Prematch & Selection Discussion

Interesting.

You would think that will just about be the end of Caff's season. Going to find it very hard to find form and break back in. Was hoping he and Sinclair would get another run. Sinclair in particular is very stiff.

Re: AFL Round 20 - Collingwood vs Port - Prematch & Selection Discussion

Two ruckmen... when was the last time we did that?

I guess Wood will play forward then.

Great to see Dids and Thomas back.

Or maybe a 50% game time for Wood and Jolly in the ruck? Jolly might just need the load taken off for a while running into finals...

Macaffer and Sinclair out?

Don't understand the match committee this week.

How's that?

Sinclair only played because Thomas pulled out late, and with Daisy and Dids back in, Sinclair had to go out.

And the Caff has been terrible since returning to the seniors, he needs a few more runs in the VFL it seems.

Good to see Rounds given another chance, I think he has more chance of playing finals then Sinclair or Keefe anyway, and that's the type of player we should be selecting now.

5 weeks to go, experiments over IMO, with the obvious exception being Wood and Jolly together, although that's been forced by Dawes absence.

I like the selection.:)

Re: AFL Round 20 - Collingwood vs Port - Prematch & Selection Discussion

Pretty clear indication from the match comittee that Keefe isn't in the finals race unless we are hit with heaps of injuries. Same with Sinclair and possibly Macaffer.

I don't mind getting games into Wood as much as possible incase we lose Jolly, we need a replacement who can step in and play 80% in the ruck. I would think Wood would ruck most of the game with Jolly sitting forward mostly.

Re: AFL Round 20 - Collingwood vs Port - Prematch & Selection Discussion

Wellers absence does actually concern me....thoughts?

I'm with you, suddenly Wellingham isn't playing for 3 weeks, what's going on?

Caff understandable, he looks slow, he doesn't seem to have any power in his legs at the moment, looks like a busted season for him, but maybe not such a bad thing since it'll give him good motivation to get better next year and put pressure back on others.

I would think Jolly spending a bit of time forward. Seemed to be glued to the ground last week.

Whose filling Harry's role?

Re: AFL Round 20 - Collingwood vs Port - Prematch & Selection Discussion

Its technically a rest pricey lol

Dont care, its been coming either way haha.

Oi Opti what are you doing Saturday? im not doing much. Just holding the 2010 Premiership Cup in 1 hand with a pint in the other :D

Re: AFL Round 20 - Collingwood vs Port - Prematch & Selection Discussion

Actually glad Harrys rested. Gives him some much needed time away from the game. Lately he seems to be not as interested as he usually is. Don't know if thats just me though.

Re: AFL Round 20 - Collingwood vs Port - Prematch & Selection Discussion

Surely Harry has been rested and not dropped. Playing as a running back defender is a bit hard when you are made so accountable by have the best stopper in the team and the second best medium stopper in the team not able to play.

+ This is the weakest backline we have fielded all year, Harry is a far better defender than Davis, Johnson, Buckley, Goldsack and Maxwell.

If it wasn't Port, Harry would be in, no doubt.
