The AFL already knows the details of what took place. His position won’t be made untenable. As soon as he started back coaching, which make no mistake wasn’t just his decision, he was already cleared from their perspective.

Whatever happens from here is just PR management.
I think that's a fair position. But I am not 100% convinced. Sooner this is resolved, the better.

Exactly.

The main board will have a meltdown when he's inevitably cleared.

The AFL hired multiple hugely respected indigenous people to sweep it under the rug!!!

Dunno wtf is happening but I cannot reply to the post by SimpkinByTheDockOfTheBay.
The main board has long been a cesspit of s**t kickers, including the mods/admin who allow recently introduced laws to be smashed.
Too many ex-bay 13 posters from the older days have been allowed to become mods.

You haven’t met Jackie Turfrey - if you think she’s a rug sweeper you might be in for a shock

That's my point. The idiots on the main board are going to accused her of being a lackey.

Personally I think the headline point will be that Hawthorn effectively prioritised their fans being racist to Goodes over the welfare of their players

No matter what the outcome the haters will still be calling for blood.

It's already pretty clear that this won't go anywhere and the media has largely backed off this story when they realized it.
The investigation will now just find a way to wrap this up

Yeah there will be sweeping changes to how lists are managed I would like to think. Im not sure how you can spend a couple of seasons on an AFL list and be worse off financially. That fyi isn't a Hawks issue but an AFL issue.

Not that this thought in my mind is relevant to race, I do though wonder how much big Maj my fav player earnt as a rookie for all those years, would suggest **** all.

That isn't just when one considers how much the AFL earn.

Where players end up financially post-career will pretty much be like judging where any random group of people in society end up financially after x years.

On to your example of Majak though. He had roughly 4-5 rookie list years (NM and Melb) and 7 senior list years.

Would guess he conservatively landed in the $2.5 million region from football earnings only at circa 31yo. Good chance it was nearer $3 million though.

That's an average of around $208k - $250k PA. He was probably getting a decent amount from endorsements etc also.

If he or his advisers were astute that was more than enough to set him up in style for life.

I was talking about a rookie sacked after two years and sent packing and couldn't afford a removalist to assist. I hope Maj earnt that but I doubt it very much

Clarko has such an aura about him the players will do anything to please him. They are hypnotised by him.
He has the runs on the board.

That’s what it comes down to.
