Our kicking inside 50 in the first half was dreadful. Utterly dreadful.

That's the game and honestly it's not good enough. Yeah there are positives but we should expect more from our boys especially when it's for legends of the club.

Major issue for me was the last kick into 50, complemented by a lack of a second tall target, where Xerri does not suffice - he's a ruck, and that's it. But overall I don't buy into the doom and gloom - there's lots to like, with a core group of young players starting to coalesce - Scott, Ford, Sheezel, Wardlaw, LDU. And of course the likes of Kayne Turner

will be delisted, so I'm not sure it's worth the emotional energy whipping him. As for Tucker, I'll reserve judgement until he's had an uninterrupted pre-season. Fitness is certainly an issue - Curtis had some good tackles I50, but watching him give up on Redman as the latter sprinted out of F50 was a fair marker of the required improvement (and it's not the first time).

I thought the selected group had a crack for Cunners, and while that won't be the selected group next year, they played with heart

No, that one was absolutely glaring, sorry. Ten metre thing is neither here nor there. Umps will generally be lenient with the 15m adjudication. But to not bounce the ball under no pressure for twenty steps is unforgivable.

To be honest Corr ran as far across the goal face and was not penalised. For most of the day however, umps heard the * crowd roar and panicked to pay them a free.

The problem is that neither Kevin White or Daniel Cross can force these guys to run harder and quicker in their shuttle runs/beep tests and yoyos. They can't tie them to a car and drive them 15km at 10km/h with 25 intervals of 28km/h.

Unfortunately we've had an attitude problem from a lot of senior players for years - they just do the bare minimum. And guys who've left our club confirm that their new club works far harder and professionally. And that's why we get beaten every week.

Nah he didn't run as far. Umps weren't great but on reflection they weren't terrible. The arbitrary holding frees were frustrating but there weren't too many of them. And we got one that led to a goal
