But this is the same anywhere in the entire world! The apparent temp is the most useful number, but even it's saying it's only 23c..

Not to mention Adelaide player 2 or so games at home in May where the temp was 24-26c..

The humidity at the gabba is 43%, which is quite low (for example, it's 80+% in Adelaide today)

Huh? Humidity is 59% here and 14c.

Players can keep their head up while staying low to ground and that significantly reduces their chances of getting a spinal injury - but they are more unlikely to win a free kick. But with the current rules if you duck you head and theres contact umpires will pay it every single time and all the players understand this so that is why they risk themselves.

Solution - Don't reward players if they're going to recklessly put their head down into other players, this will allow them to keep their head up at a much safer angle and if they do get contact there is a significant reduced chance that they will get a spine/head injury and they can still get a free kick if deemed at a sufficient level of impact. If a players head is down around the ball in an idle position and a player comes into contact with the players head(again if sufficient impact) then that should be a free kick.

I feel like this is quite an easy distinction since it eliminates the merit for players to put their head in danger. You need to understand that the players are only putting their head down because it will win them a free kick, but if we don't pay this then they will protect their head by keeping it upwards and if a high tackle of there then it can still be paid.

Adelaide need to pile on the pressure in the final quarter and kick at least 7 goals. Percentage is going to be absolutely cruical come the final round of the season, and they need to put Brizzle to the sword

Not going to happen. Think the Lions will win the last quarter by a couple goals.

Change interpretation so that umpires won't give a free for people to put their head down. If a player has their head tilted up and there is a high tackle then pay it.

So its the umpires fault.
