5-0
No PFD
No Tomma today.
No Guthrie
No Kolo.

Take that every day of the week.

2nd on the ladder lol. Thought we were cooked.... not really!

Cos started today and showed a flash or two.
Neale comes in and gets 3. Nude and firm. Toot Toot!
Jezza gets 6.
Stengle, Close Miers all very good. Close got 4. Holmes good too.

Bowes, Miers, Bruhn, MOC, Atkins, Stewy, Parf all good.

Rhys 200 games and was decent too.

2E very quiet really.
Blitz subbed out but more management than anything it seems

Got in front and stayed there.

Great team effort and good work with the coaches.

No injuries. Take the 4 points and % boost.

Great day

GO Catters

As an aside, that Eddie Ford kid sums up everything that's wrong with Norf at the moment.

You're 80 points down and telling a champion of the game in Mitch Duncan how good you're going. Cornes called it out last year, it's laughable.

It's a team of individuals, they won't win anything until they realise that winning and getting 10 touches is better than losing but kicking 3.

Wouldn't last a day at Geelong with that attitude.

That was nice and all, but the next four weeks are going to tell us where the Cats are really at. I do think Norf has a list it can build on, and showed a few signs that they're on the right path. If they can beat the Hawks next week that will be a good sign. But, we can't get too carried away with the win today because it was just too easy to be of any value (other than percentage). 5-0 is a great start to the season, though. Go Cats.

Just did what we had to do with precision. A very professional performance.

Jez & Stewart superb as always, but it's the kids and lesser lights that are the real story for mine.

Kudos to Brandan Parfitt. I've been hard on him, but he's clearly worked his arse off all summer to get fit and it's paying dividends. So many of his efforts won't get on the stats sheet, but the coaches and supporters see how hard he's working.

Jack Bowes is having the career renaissance we thought he'd have last year. Took a little while to learn the system, but we're quickly molding him into a gun. Must stay in the midfield.

Neale was brilliant IMO. Got the late call up, and it didn't bother him. Just went about his business and showed he's got what it takes.

He's still learning, but he's got all the tools to be a very special player, while Holmes continues his rise to becoming an elite player of the competition.

Holmes, Dempsey, Henry, Neale, SDK, COS, Clark, Bruhn to go with Zuthrie, Atkins, Bowes, Miers, Stengle, Close, & Jack Henry.

That's the bulk of our side, and they've all been super to start the season. Anyone who thinks we're too old is kidding themselves.

It's no longer about pinching a flag with an ageing group for us. It's about setting this young core up with another couple players to start another dynasty down the line.

Geelong yet again breaking the mold, looking to win the premiership in a rebuilding year.

We're all so lucky, there's not a single club that would be better to support.
