Not much to say really, we did exactly what a good quality side should do.

Guess Geelong is playing on the “Edge” this year because we have also managed to maintain our streak of not winning the free kick count, 0-5.

Congrats to Stanley on the 200, honestly never thought you would get to it.

I wish I had the energy to hate something for as long as he's hated Geelong.

You're right, it's almost impressive how long he's done it.
He will be right one day and he will never shut up about it despite being wrong year in year out

He would fit in well on the main board

Forget last year, David King is still doing it!!
Kingy didn't rate us at the start of the year true, but he did have us in his top 4 seeds this week, so I think he's changed his mind. I don't think Kingy thinks we can win the flag, but he is starting to say we will make the finals.

Just did what we had to do with precision. A very professional performance.

Jez & Stewart superb as always, but it's the kids and lesser lights that are the real story for mine.

Kudos to Brandan Parfitt. I've been hard on him, but he's clearly worked his arse off all summer to get fit and it's paying dividends. So many of his efforts won't get on the stats sheet, but the coaches and supporters see how hard he's working.

Jack Bowes is having the career renaissance we thought he'd have last year. Took a little while to learn the system, but we're quickly molding him into a gun. Must stay in the midfield.

Neale was brilliant IMO. Got the late call up, and it didn't bother him. Just went about his business and showed he's got what it takes.

He's still learning, but he's got all the tools to be a very special player, while Holmes continues his rise to becoming an elite player of the competition.

Holmes, Dempsey, Henry, Neale, SDK, COS, Clark, Bruhn to go with Zuthrie, Atkins, Bowes, Miers, Stengle, Close, & Jack Henry.

That's the bulk of our side, and they've all been super to start the season. Anyone who thinks we're too old is kidding themselves.

It's no longer about pinching a flag with an ageing group for us. It's about setting this young core up with another couple players to start another dynasty down the line.

Geelong yet again breaking the mold, looking to win the premiership in a rebuilding year.

We're all so lucky, there's not a single club that would be better to support.
As per usual KG you nailed it 100%, it's effen awesome following this club.... GO CATS

Bowes has made every step a winner so far this year.

It’s only been a small sample size… but be it coming on for quarter or playing a full game… He is winning the ball nicely and looking as if he is ahead of Touhy/MOC in that battle of the three utility types.

Yea I know Bowes is playing more mid… but when Danger and Guthrie are back he might get pushed out to another position where he is fighting with Touhy/MOC for a position.

He is getting it done atm.

Hopefully he can keep it up and even improve on it.

I don’t think he specifically hates Geelong, he just hates being wrong and looking stupid.

I appreciate his passion for the game and his knowledge, but I don’t like how salty he gets.

We are such an even team this year. No one is having huge numbers. Especially in the midfield.
It’s a great sign.
Some of the huge number of possession's some of the midfielders are having across the AFL at present coupled with them having high mid-field time can be such an over-rated stat with the Bulldogs last week being exhibit one. But with the likes of a Tanner Bruhn being so damaging, firstly by obtaining possession through 'midget' strength, bravery, athleticism and footy nous, then secondly exiting from a ball-up 'at speed' by foot or hand then 'opening up play' is ultra impressive and grossly undervalued.... GO CATS

You get your name permanently on your locker at 200 don't you? Onya Stanley:thumbsu:

He'd already have his name permanently on the locker being a premiership player.

Yeah exactly what I’ve been thinking hence my post. I think Shezzel had 38 today? We know the Dogs numbers last week but it’s quite common for midfielders to rack up 30 plus. Our highest was 23 I think and most were in the teens and we so far haven’t lost a game (will probably change next week)
Not relying on anyone specifically in the midfield, yet still winning is master class coaching.

20 touches, 6 tackles, 7 clearances, 5 i50 and 6 score involvements today.

Respect his name, haters.
He is playing his role nicely.

I still reckon he is a good chance of being out once Danger and Guthrie both return.

But he is playing much better than last year.

Fighting for a spot with Atkins imo.
