Dempsey may need a rest. Could potentially bring Neale in for him though Rohan may be a better fit.
I think the poster is upset that the existence of Kayo/Foxtel has taken games away from FTA.

Nah watch again. Kolo just lets him have a kick thinking the ball up is coming. Just had to spin him. They were both standing. Zero chance of a dump.

Probably ends up splitting his time with Bowes, Dunc, and now Atkins all playing midfield/halfback minutes.

I’m used to Rhys being underrated and harshly criticised. Expected it after tonight.
The point is his losing against a muppet has never meant he won’t hold his own against a gun. It’s quintessential Rhys.
But that's not true. There has never been a period of time when all games were on fta. In fact there are more fta games now then there have ever been.
This has been hugely misrepresented. He didn’t pull out. The Blues player was going to get to the ball first so Dempsey slowed down to avoid giving away a free kick.
I wonder how often that has actually happened in a game? I'd think it would be ultra-rare. Maybe in the tens of 100,000+ footy games to have ever been played? Could be wrong though. I'm advancing well into the beers now!Carlton had more kicks, marks, handballs, hit-outs, contested possessions, metres gained, inside 50s, tackles inside 50s and scoring shots, yet still lost.

Not professional but understandable given the rivalry and the sorry state of the Hawthorn FC. Hawks supporters resent that Geelong haven't had to rebuild since the turn of the century. I miss the old rivalry, but alas, there has not been much competition since Kennett's curse.
He conceded 11 clearances to Pittonet tonight. Any criticism of him is far from harsh.

I was only worried about him over 10 years ago when he could bend over for a period. I’m not the slightest bit concerned - I think he’ll have games like this where he doesn’t get a sniff with not an abundance of opportunity, but I’m sure he’ll have plenty for the rest of the year where he sets up goals, creates space and kicks a few. To me that’s the year we’re looking at, and the way we play now - just a real spreading of the load. We’re winning games with low midfield possession numbers as an example, but everyone doing their bit.
This was the first time I’ve ever been worried about Hawkins.
I do think Carlton will be there at the pointy end when they get a few back. Small forwards in particular. They really need the class of Martin.

Might be a good time to bring in Mitch Hardie who was close to best on ground again in the Magoos. So Rohan and Hardie for me.
I’m normally a big take the win and any 4 points are precious (they are) guy, but I came away a little less confident of our premiership chances after that.
I actually thought they were pushing Danger to the limit in first half and he was only mid at the level to compete. Paid a big price.
Bruhn, Bowes, Parfitt and co have some work to do.
Great Guthrie got through, and Stengle and Cameron were sublime.
Kolo also played his best game for club, so congrats to him.

You can have intergrity, which would mean logically two-siding everything. But ARE they two-siding? Seems like they are pandering a bit too much. I don't mind talking up the opposition in gameplay. I don't mind excitement whoever scores the goal. It just seems like there's a conscious effort not to speak favorably of your own side at all as a Geelong exe, and that strikes me as a bitt odd.
