His posts will. Yours will be carded.

Play on.

Do you really think that is playing the game on your part, big fella??

He's inviting comment by posting in a somewhat negative controversial manner, yet you're saying that the comments he's inviting - perhaps deliberately - will lead to a genuine supporter being carded.

Strange decision IMO.

Discussions on Amer's posting style and his posts are getting borderline close to be moved to the backyard.

If he was an opposition supporter, HE would be carded.

No issue with debating his points mate. Please do. That's not where it was heading though.

Don't see why this should matter. If the coaching staff believe Johnston will offer more to the side than Lynch, then he should be able to get the nod. It's not his fault North had the bye!
May not be his fault, but given there is probably little between these 2, you would expect the selection panel to opt for the player who has the games under his belt. You would think Lynch may be a chance to be a sub, whereas being a sub is the last thing Johnston needs after missing last week.

If Crouch doesn't play, then Sando needs to cut the crap about 'we have dominant performers in the SANFL demanding selection,' - we had that all of last year, and we still didn't make the hard calls to drop players based on form.
agreed - it is already starting to sound like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

Sorry to break it to you guys, but Johnston will not play for the Crows this week given North Adelaide had the bye to start the season...

Lynch will get the nod if a spot is available after a strong showing for Glenelg.
Johnston wouldn't be playing even if North didn't have the bye last week. He's a long, long way down the pecking order and we don't have anywhere near enough injuries to justify his selection.

What I'm doing is putting it on the line with regards to the piss poor patterns the club appears to have settled into in the past decade and a bit, to see if there's truly anything in them. I'm calling everything before the fact, the things that to me indicate poor culture, systemic shortcoming and the like. I believe there is a layer of accountability the club has evaded for years and I'm determined to expose it, because I have a -genuine- desire to see us actually bag a premiership in the next 50 bloody years.

This is how it will go. If Brisbane show up with evident intensity and aggression, and we respond and win this game of football, that's a sign of cultural strength in my opinion. If we lose under these circumstances, we should remain concerned. Additionally, if we win, and win easily, with little yelp given by our opposition, we should assume Brisbane is a flash in the pan and wait for our next marker of substance, which I will again identify before the fact.

Of course, this looks like a have your cake and eat it too argument, but I don't care. It's plain logical and sensible. The degree of logic is reduced if you introduce a dumb cake conditioning to distort what may be there. I've also put myself on the line several times in a more categorical sense, for instance last year saying that our premiership credentials would be on the table against Collingwood at AAMI Stadium. Now, arbitrary, incidental or not, I identified before the fact a game that I deemed a cultural indicator based on our club's record in games of similar circumstance. We showed that night that whatever had been missing in previous years was still missing. We can't win or play good footy in the big games unless we go in with a "free crack".

I believe we are systematically letting ourselves down every year in terms of culture, leadership and decision making, and it starts from the top down. There are match indicators of this throughout each premiership season, and I am tired of watching us systematically fail in the very same scenarios every single year, no matter the personnel, no matter the form. It is disturbing. This is supposed to be a big club. Win a big game.

I wish Nutter was in has the ability to be involved with at least 3-4 goals per game.

I'd be happy with him coming in, as long as we then dropped him for finals ;)

But seriously, no, I wouldn't.

Jaensch, Petrenko, Callinan and even throw Johncock in there these days - too many short people who don't consistently perform.
