WAFL players next week will only have a 5 day break , so might not be considered

Good point. We'll probably see who's in contention for the Carlton game by who gets left out of WAFL duty during the bye week.

McGinnity had a shocker - dropped two sitters in front of goal - and did nothing else, so that's a gimme.
I would like to see Newman in instead of Hams - would offer us more.
Shuey in.
Not prepared to write off Waters at the MRP yet. Looked fair enough to me, but they don't like shirtfronts anymore. The commentators comments on it gave me the shits too! Froth and bubble from their mouths, like cream, it was all over their mouths.

We still missing that small, quick lock-down defender.

Out: Waters McGinnity Swift
In: Butler Newman Shuey

Butler Glass Schofield
A.Selwood Mackenzie Hurn
Rosa Priddis Gaff
Masten Lynch Darling
Hill Cox Hams

Ruck: Natanui S.Selwood Kerr
Int: Newman Shuey Brennan Sub: Sheppard

I can't believe Stevens didn't get a game in front of Swift today. Swift did well and I hope he keeps improving but he has had a lot of opportunities over the past dew years while Stevens invariably gets used as sub, does OK under those difficult conditions and then gets dropped the next week. He will go at the end of the year and somebody is going to get a top class midfielder.

With Smith not playing wafl this week, Waters probably suspended, and Butlers history with soft tissue injuries, is Stevenson finally a chance? Be great to have another very good kick coming off half back.

in: shuey and stevens
out: swift and mcginnity

if mcginnity doesnt go then the selection team have rocks in their head

*Brennan out ,think he was the one, for failing to harness Green the sub .
can you really blame brennan?

brennan had been running up and down all day, green came on half way through the fourth quarter and is a fast ****er

If Waters' hit on Redden is assessed as negligent conduct, high contact and low impact it's 4 activation points and a Level 1 hit. Penalty for rough conduct is 125 points. With an early plea that would come down to 93.75.

Trouble is he's already got 93.75 points on his record from his hit on Grimes back in April. Together that'd mean 187.5 points, i.e. a week off and basically another week hanging over his head next time.

If it's assessed as reckless rather than negligent, it becomes 225 points, which comes down to 168.75 with an early plea but goes back up to 263.5 with his carryover points. Which would be two weeks off (Carlton and Collingwood games) and a few points hanging over his head.
