We could be 4-0. Adelaide almost beat the cats over there, and we're roughly on the same level as them at the moment.
Yeah but the idea of us beating Geelong in Geelong is the equal I think of the Pies at the G. It just isn't something you'd ever really be sure of.

I basically see the first three games as an extension of the pre-season. The real stuff starts against Geelong.

It would be huge if we beat the Cats there. I think we can do it.
The next 2 weeks will give us a better indication about where both sides are at. If we can sustain our intensity but improve our ball use, we're a good shot.

Don't mind resting Shuey. Was named in two games last year when he shouldn't have been and it not only hurt his recovery but us the field.
I'd love for both Hutchings and Sheed to start in the 21.

If Shuey is sore then Sheed in, will lose some pace but it's Melbourne, they ain't exactly going to run us off our feet with their keep possession at all costs game plan.

Agreed - there is very little to take seriously about our final ambitions over the next 3 weeks.
We could however, have them dashed shoud we fall over against one of the two teams.
Basically - all there is to look for is gameplan, player positions and perhaps fitness for NN
And the margins of coarse. I'm really looking forward to our next 2 games since they could both potentially be 100 point wins for us. Three big wins to start the season would be a great confidence boost.

If Shuey gets rested then I expect Hutchings to come into the squad. I can see Hutchings and Sheed sharing vest duties

If The Hutch is fully fit he should play all game and i'd do the same with Sheed. Cripps was good as a sub previously as he tends to have a big impact in a short time, so i'd sub him on when required.
It's good to have wins in the bank early, regardless of the opposition.
Lol, if we can go 4-0, we should be no worse than 8-1 going into the bye. As much as that would set a four-legged carnivore among winged rats, I have a hard time seeing it coming to pass.
