Lynch comes in and Dougie replaces Murph. It’s much more likely than unlikely. If you can’t see that as a likelihood, then you’ve only just starting supporting our club.

I think it will be Gallucci who makes way.

Tonight's selection was common sense, in hind sight.

Davis was our worst player last week, and milera has to return when fit.

Jenkins also, always straight back in. Himmilberg our second worst player last week.

We need more run, than we did against geelong. Gibbs the worst of our slowest mids. Naturally, the most experienced outside mid, got picked. Douglas stays because he offers flexibility, can play both outside and inside mid.. Mckay was tactical.

It's interesting, Dixon admits he's playing deeper now than before he broke the leg. He was always more damaging against us, when he lead outside 50 and gave off to a runner or long kick in quick. It was the same with tredrea.

Motlop and wines lucky to be picked. Westhoff cooked. Rozee being worked out. Lycett will struggle as the game goes on with O'brien. Question marks over Rockliff.

25-22.

I know - they were hammering the fact they were going to have a REVIEW, which everyone assumed would be a genuine, useful external review. Turned out, it was just to placate everyone, then, towards the end of the season, the rhetoric changed to 'an internal review' - which is a waste of time.

Didn’t we also get the, “we always review”. So we were stupid because we were wanting them to do something they do anyway. Damn we’re a little slow on the old uptake.

Also, I told you that as we got closer to September, we’d revert to the norm. It’s not my fault that our selection crew are predictable. You’ll get over it.
You also told me Jacobs would be straight back, you also told me Jenkins would never be dropped.

You tell me a lot of rubbish that didn't happen. Just because you copy and paste the same thing and it happens once, doesn't make you right.

You’ve mentioned that before and never come up with any post where I’m wrong when it comes to selection. You were going to compile a list. You’re becoming Vaderesque in your confidence despite being so wrong, so often.
I've posted it.

Jenkins won't be dropped - wrong
Mackay won't be dropped - wrong
Jacobs straight back in - wrong
Jenkins straight back in - wrong
Douglas straight back in - wrong although I might give you a half tick
Jenkins back in after 6 goals - wrong
Gibbs won't be dropped (first time) - wrong

Maybe after the initial ‘2 week’ expectation. But I bet you can’t find a post stating that after it was known it’d be 6 weeks. List would be good, you keep making that claim but never pony up. It’s sad how confident you are about our new selection philosophy. I bet you still believe it despite what happened tonight. Good for you hey marty. I mean hey shorty.

Experience = flexibility. I’m beginning to think you don’t watch us select.
So Murphy who has played all season, even when he probably hasn't deserved it, will be dropped for a guy who doesn't play in the same role.... when role is clearly important to the side.

Try again.

We’ll see. Dougie does pressure forward too. But, it might be Gooch that goes in favour of a cooked Dougie. It doesn’t really matter, Dougie will stay regardless of form.

Ah cool we are going petty now, excellent.

I have supported the Crows since inception. What a ride.... 2 premierships and a world of hope for more. I AM 67 NOW AND AM RAPIDLY GIVING UP HOPE OF ANOTHER PREMIERSHIP IN MY LIFETIME.
I put my hope in the hands of incompetent dickheads who fail to reward form or endevour and continue to pick their shit mates. Hope we win by 10 goals but why start the game with a handicap.
SELECTION it is putrid.

Came for the news. Stayed for the melts.

Another epic selection night.

The only thing that will top it is the meltdown on gameday, which will be followed by "The Good, the Mackay and the Douglas" thread post game.

Really, we can’t win?

Pyke has a record of 6-1 against Hinkley and will likely be 7-1 after Saturday.

We do have a better team with JJ in, we will win it and the reason, Pyke is better than Hinkley.
A bit emotional I know, but if we come out on top its because Port will lose rather than we will win.
If we do lose and Dougy and McKay have shockers, the selectors can take all the blame.

The issue is that Mackay increases the number of non entities in the team, putting strain on the rest of them, then the game falls apart.
I’m all for rewarding effort, but if the players selected can’t play AFL standard of footy, then its like being a few goals down before the game even starts. We’ll need a big start to win this one, because I can guarantee our game will break down in the second half.
That’s not actually our recent style barring first game back after the bye. Our strength has been closing out.

Lynch in results in Dougie replacing Murphy. Dougie’s experience will carry the day. Back it in, it’ll happen if it’s a choice between the 2.

Not at all. Murphy is not in our lineup because he's a young kid who needs game time. He is there for a very specific reason, one which Douglas can't offer.

We may occasionally be stupid with our selections but we won't sacrifice structural pieces for it. Murphy is that currently.

Mackay doesn’t have pace any more than he has an elite leg. Both pure fantasy. 2-3 times per game Mackay finds himself in a position where he’s already at full speed and taking a handball from a contest where everyone else is mostly stationary. He looks fast relative to everyone else in the vicinity. Fact is that has never burst from a pack or run down an opponent for a tackle. He has recorded hundreds of pressure acts whilst not quite getting to averagely paced players though. The best bit though, is even with this perceived ‘pace’, Mackay maxes out at looping a ball to a contest or empty space 8 times out of 10.
Yeah I dont get it......
