WTF? McAdam definitely deserves to get rubbed out, and should receive the same penalty as Kosi. We might consider appealing if he gets more than Kosi, but he's definitely guilty of a suspendable offence.
Pickett's hit was worse than Shano...

Head only came into contact after he hit him up the middle

They look at 3 things...
Conduct - Intentional, or Careless
Impact - Severe, High, Medium, or Low
Contact - High/Groin, or body

Kosi's was graded as High impact, because of the "potential to cause injury". Given that the AFL is currently facing multiple lawsuits, from players whose lives have been ruined by repeated concussions, there's every likelihood that this is the standard which will be adopted more & more often going forward.

Once those gradings are done, it's just a matter of looking up the outcome in the table (refer to page 8 of the 2023 AFL Tribunal Guidelines).

Kosi's may have looked worse, but it's hard to see where McAdam's hit will be graded any differently... and thus the same result is expected.

I don't think one half of football changes much about the club's recent history.

I think they are generally on the right track but they have a sketchy history of poor decision making and my confidence in them is very much not restored yet (and wouldn't have been even if we won)
This is simply a characteristic of whether you're an optimist or pessimist .....understanding the emotion of sports tends to push many younger fans towards the pessimism end of the scale

We've had seasons in the top 4 .....and that hasn't satisfied many fans

Agree .....McAdam tucked his body in low, with the objective of hitting the GWS player in the chest

I'd be surprised if he collected his head, more likely his head whiplashed back with the hit .....that said, he'll still cop a couple of weeks

My criticism is that this is largely the result of group think - hence the comments about brain dead sheeple, who are seemingly incapable of thinking for themselves, and who just go along with the hate because that's the trendy thing to do.
That's a rubbish genralisation. Many of us think Murphy adds very little and will not be in our next flag winning side If we ever win one. The fact that Club think he is next in line means nothing. The club has made terrible decisions for 25 years.

I think Sholl would be very unlucky if he is once again looked over should there be any shake ups on wing/half back. Yes he has flaws in his game but just turned 23 and had an excellent pre-season.
If you were to build a prototype of a player who isn't capable of standing up in finals Sholls your man. No physicality or physical presence whatsoever. A game gifted to Sholl is a wasted game that should have been given to another player.

Not that it would make a difference, but we absolutely should appeal if he gets more than Pickett. Point out that McAdam didn't even hit him in the ****ing head whereas Pickett left the ground and got Smith flush in the head.

So it's worse than Pickett

It's a good thing the MotoGP is back this week. Don't have to waste my time watching this piece of crap excuse for a league.

I didn't actually think they'd show their bias this blatantly, but I really shouldn't be surprised.
Agree. It should have been at worst what they gave Pickett...it just looks like another great opportunity to belt us in particular.

If McAdam played for Richmond it would have been anything from a fine to a week at worst...we all know it

So it's worse than Pickett

John ralph is a fxxkn smarmy little c..t..

What an absolute joke this league is.

Theres no way mcadams was worse than picketts hit..

Pickett jumped two ****n feet off the ground and connected straight with the head.

Seriously considering following NRL again and giving up on the AFL.. the inconsistencies, media driven bias and favouritism is just disgusting.
