Douglas can only play a purely on ball midfield role. The moment it gets any more complex he seems to disappear. He's ineffective up forward as his overhead marking is average and he's not particularly speedy or evasive. In terms of pure mid, and comparing to Crouch, Crouch, Sloane, Greenwood etc I'd say Douglas is currently the worst of the lot. Interested to see what he does in defense, not convinced it'll be pretty.
